Dear Tumblr, your censorbot is idiotic.
Just tried to share a short clip of the Wrinkledrake's textures, macro-style, but it was auto flagged and when I try to appeal this and get an actual human to review the clip, I get the message that my request can't be completed at this time. I can't even put my appeal in a queue to get someone to look it over.
My work has been flagged many times in the past, never for legit adult content, and it's been pretty irritating to deal with, but if this is any indication of how things are gonna be under tumblr's new ownership, it is definitely getting worse. I'm not sure how much longer I want to stay on a site with such a shitty algorithm that arbitrarily censors shit that doesn't need censoring. For now, I guess you can watch the video on my Instagram. Same handle as here, @blackrabbitsculpture .
ETA: the clip was just unflagged and is now viewable, but my sentiments about the censorbot remain unchanged.
Another day of scrolling away to free some old posts from our prudish overlords and I’m left with the distinct impression that Censorbot is developing a dry sense of humour. Someone should notify tumblr staff before their A.I. starts taking over what’s left of civilization.
