Just found out Enhydro Agates tend to have water trapped inside of them which made me think of Calypso.
I do think if Rex would find Sympathy, with anyone, it would either be with Calypso or Demeter.
Calypso is just purposeless pain without any end, torment that goes on until you have every last bit of hope drained out of you and end up Despairing.
Demeter is a schemer, two-faced and manipulative. She has her own agenda and will play whatever role she feels is necessary to get others to act as she wishes.
You are nothing without him. You are nothing on your own. You always need someone to complete you and once your other half disappears, so will you.
"What do you want from me? Why do you want me to come back to you? I can't help you. You can't help me. My soul isn't worth all this trouble."
Since I am merciful, I'll give you the five hours I promised. I -do- hope you will come to your senses, Mae.
Consider me appreciative of your generosity, Icarus.
"Rex Townsend." A soft voice fills the air around the man, although despite the gentle lilt there was no fondness in its tone. "Tell me about the Stanley you encountered."
"No. No no no no." Rex has his knife out in a second, pointing it all around himself as if he's about to try and stab the air to death.
"Fuck off. Fuck. Off. I am done dealing with your invisible bastards."

Ⲧⲓⲙⲉ ⳨ⲟⲅ ⲩⲟⳙⲅ ⳽ⲉⲅⳳⲓⲥⲉ, ⲏⳙⲙⲇⲛ.
"Finally, a fucking distraction." Rex grumbles, getting up. He's hoping that whatever K wants, he can be done with it soon. "What do you want?"
Masochist....
No.
Pure dread fills Maso as the voice starts whispering deep in his mind, the familiarity already pulling him in.
"No." He whispers to himself. "I don't want you, I'm not a masochist anymore. Leave me alone."
A few minutes after Raphael leaves, life starts to return back to Rex's body.
The first thing he became aware of was the pain of his torn lungs. He tried to gasp but it came out as a pathetic wheeze, his lungs still filled with blood and gore from the bullet's entrance.
Rex lay there as his body started to slowly repair itself with him conscious enough to feel the blood seeping back into the veins, skin and flesh closing, air returning to his lungs.
Yet, the physical pain is nothing in comparison to the betrayal and sadness of Raphael's decision. It's not the angel's fault. Rex told him to kill him if he acted weird, a precaution to make sure he wouldn't get near the children if he were to ever get possessed.
He supposed he was blinded by his eagerness to mend their relationship to realize that of course Raphael wasn't going to lower his guard. Would he have, if their roles were reversed?
Probably not.
Eventually the pain subsided and Rex found he could sit up. His muscles ached and there was still dried blood on his clothes - but he was alive.
How unfortunate.
A familiar voice cooed nearby. He looked around to locate the speaker, without success.
I thought that weird little potion you drank would have a different effect on you. Don't mortals love honesty and intimacy? I was expecting something more passionate to happen.
Then again, murdering your love could fall under that category, don't you think?
Rex said nothing.
Ah, I'm curious how that thing is going to deal with your death. It seemed rather upset. Kept shouting at you and calling you names. Is that also normal?
"He-..." Rex felt guilt and shame wash over him, adding to the already complicated stew of emotions boiling inside of him. "Oh god, Raphael. I'm sorry."
I need to hurry up and get a proper body. You are pathetic even with the new updates, human. I can't be represented by such a wretched man. Ewgh.
The presence faded for now but Rex knew it was still around in case it wanted to give him orders or direct him to places.
He got to his feet, shakily and debated tracking down Raphael again to apologize. Maybe convince him he really was Rex. But what if he refused to listen? What if he shot him again and Rex didn't come back? He had never taken more than five minutes to reset and this time it had been too long.
He decided to avoid Raphael until the potion wore off. There were still other people he wanted to talk to.
