Maelle was anything but pleased at Icarus’ attempts to derail one of her plans. A fight was not in order, however, she knew she would lose easily.

He might’ve been the weakest of the Divine, the only one shattered into pieces and therefore having trouble to unite with all of his power, but he can still control her if he wishes.

Why he didnt just save himself and the Universes the trouble and do it anyway, she wasn't quite sure.

Maybe Conflict had a hand in it, although as she understood it, Conflict was barely impressed by anything she had done so far.

Or Icarus expected the moment he did try for ███████ to appear and strike him.

He was wary of Her, and preferred confronting Maelle when Alice wasn't around.

There are plenty other ways, Maelle thought as she returned to the Vault to do as Icarus had asked.
