I´ve been having a lot of thoughts about her lately, and her parallels with Lúthien whom I´m drawing dancing too if anyone cares, at times it´s as though they are the same yet the opposite, if that makes sense?

Visions of things to come.
Practicing drawing embroidery with some more Gondolindrim. Not completely settled on what style of clothes, let alone appearance beyond that. I've heard that Idril/Celebrindal is kind of underappreciated out here, which surprises me. IMAGE ID: A copic marker illustration of Idril, an Eldarin princess. She sits with her arms up in what could be viewed as a shrug gesture in front of a view of Gondolin at sunrise or sunset. She is Vanyarin and Noldorin, though her blonde hair is mostly concealed by the shawl she wears over her head. The shawl is pale blue with embroidery of the Trees on a large black border on the outside and dark blue on the inside. At the top of the shawl is a silver circle with the emblem of the House of the Wing and underneath that, she wears a crown of pearls with hamsas and blue tassles on each side. She also wears a series of bracelets of gold, silver, and white pearls on each arm. Underneath the shawl, she wears a pale grey robe with silver embroidery and a black shirt beneath that. END ID.
Idril Celebrindal
The headcanon is that Idril lost her leg (s ?) during the Helcaraxe. Yes I like to make canon worse 😂

Anyone else thought about the unique connections between Finrod and Idril? Because I have, and they have me intrigued.
They both have the gift of foresight, which despite sounding cool does nothing but give both of them severe anxiety and foreboding.
They are both such strong symbols of hope for others(Idril herself is likened to the sun which cannot be a coincidence and Finrod is just a super hopeful person in general)while at the exact same moment suffering from some pretty serious trauma and anxiousness about the future that goes unnoticed by many of those around them.
And lastly they both share close relationships with humans; Finrod who sacrifices his life for a mortal man, and who can forget Idril who literally marries and has a child with one. (Finrod would be so proud)
And best of all Finrod is one of Turgon's closest friends so of course Idril and Finrod would have known eachother and were likely close, so I can definitely imagine, after Idril and Tuor sail to Valinor, them reuniting and having a conversation about it and bonding together over their shared experiences.
