EEEEEE I’VE BEEN WANTING TO TALK ABOUT THIS YAYYYYY

Okay so. Mind’s bedroom is very clean most of the time. He doesn’t spend a whole lot of time in there since he hardly ever sleeps and prefers to spend time outside or in the living room during the day so it’s easy to maintain. Now I kinda wanna draw a floor plan for it so my vision is better understood… every time I write fics I usually sketch a crappy floor plan for my character’s bedrooms so I can understand how they move around and such so I’ll probably do that soon

Heart’s is a MESS. CONSTANTLY. Partially because he’s always in there crying or comforting himself or just hanging out and partially because he’s blind and is always bumping into things and knocking things over. That being said his room is also full of sensory objects, like he has a flippy pillow (remember those with the sequins and you flip the sequins to draw on them and stuff), lots of snuggly blankets of different textures and squishy fidgets because when he’s stressed it helps calm him down to feel things, since he can’t see.

Soul’s room isn’t really like a room at all. It has a bed, yes, but that’s basically the only thing that sets it apart as a bedroom. There’s Monster cans, full and empty, everywhere and he has a mini fridge with even MORE Monster cans in it. Other than that it’s pretty barren. This is also the room he fixed Mind up in when Heart shot him in the throat. I headcanon that he kind of has the power to sort of like… conjure up things, a power he doesn’t want Mind and Heart to know about so when he does conjure things up he does it in here. This is also the reason why I headcanon Soul is the only one to ever go “grocery shopping”— he just goes outside for a while and comes back after conjuring up everything they need. Conjuring isn’t the right word, it’s more like he has a Mary Poppins bag sort of, but you get the gist.

his artificial eyes can't produce something so raw, so human.

but that doesn't make him emotionless.

his fans, the ones in his back, covered by feeble flesh-toned mesh, are his tears.

they betray his emotions like tears betray heart's - if he's startled, they'll flare momentarily until he can get them back under control. if he's scared, they spin loudly, like an old computer. if he's extremely upset, whether that be a strangely barbed comment from heart or a breakdown given to him by whole, his fans work as if there's no tomorrow, and you can hear him like a jet engine throughout the entirety of headspace.

but a little-known fact about mind is that he can, in fact, cry. but if you see a single tear drip down his metallic cheek, you know you've pushed too far. he will only cry in the most severe of situations - having his throat shot out by heart, for example.

if mind starts crying, he'll either run off and sob so hard he passes out for an entire day, or you'll wish he'd just kill you from the nightmare he'll create.

Heart with plushies. Because he's the emotional side, he's also the sentimental side. Due to this, he over the years has taken up the hobby of collecting plushies, and they're all crowding his bed. He especially likes older, somewhat beaten up plushies because he can tell they've been through a lot (like him), and they've also been well loved. This includes so many of Whole's old plushies from childhood.

The plushies give him something soft to lie down upon when the heartaches become too much, or when he just needs some comfort after a long day of fighting. Plus, hugging them releases oxytocin, which is at least somewhat helpful when the depression creeps in (I can attest, it helps at least a bit).

He will not let you make fun of his plushie pile. And he automatically can tell when one of them is missing. Mind has threatened to steal one of them when Heart isn't looking, but ultimately hasn't because the thought of doing so feels childish to him. But still, the concept is enticing.

Part one!

Jupiter/Jove and Juno (Mind and Heart). I couldn’t find an equivalent for Soul in this nickname set. If there is one, let me know! I’ll put it in another part

Juno comes from Ruler of Everything, Heart is referred to as Juno in the start of the song. In Roman mythology, Juno is the queen of the gods and the godess of marriage.

Jupiter/Jove on the other hand, is a fanon name for Mind to equate with Heart’s title of Juno. Jupiter is Juno’s husband in Roman mythology and is the king of the gods. In addition, he is the god of the sky, storms, and lightning.

It’s quite fitting for Mind to be referred to as the king of the gods. Even more so considering Jupiter’s also the god of storms/lightning.

Of course, it’s also very fitting for Heart to be called Juno. Juno also presided over love (although that was mostly Venus’ thing). What better goddess to represent the Heart than the queen of the gods, ruler of marriages. (Well. There’s two I can think of, but that’s for another part)

Despite Juno/Jupiter being married, this doesn’t mean it has anything to do with shipping! They’re also considered counterparts. Also, it just so happens that Juno/Jupiter are siblings. Mythology is like that

Multiple myths consist of Juno being extremely fed up with Jupiter for various reasons (namely adultery.) no matter what she does, unfortunately, nothing changes.

There is a myth where Hera tries to overthrow Zeus (Greek counterparts) with some other gods, however I couldn’t find if this was adapted into Roman mythos.

HERA/ZEUS (Heart/Mind)

This comes from the Greek equivalents of Juno and Jupiter. There are more references to Greek mythos in CCCC, so, I suppose the nickname makes sense! Although, there’s two Greek gods that fit Heart and Mind better….
