Supreme Court Rejects Carter Page’s Lawsuit Appeal Against James Comey in Major Trump-Russia Probe Case
The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear an appeal from former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, effectively ending his effort to revive a lawsuit against former FBI Director James Comey and other former FBI officials. The decision marks the latest chapter in a legal battle connected to the FBI's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.Page had argued that he was unlawfully surveilled through warrants obtained under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). His lawsuit claimed that errors and omissions in FBI warrant applications violated his rights. A Justice Department inspector general report previously identified significant problems in the surveillance process, adding fuel to Page's legal challenge
