Omg you guys, this is so freaking exciting! I finally took the egg sac away from #CarlitosPaez thinking it wasn't viable. She got to keep it for so long because she wouldn't stop taking care of it and I didn't have the heart to take it away. Well, lately, she's been wandering away from the sac more and more, so I decided now was the time to retrieve it. I gently took it out and cut it open, wondering what the old eggs would look like. Lo and behold, it's full of babies! I've never bred her, so she must've been bred before I got her at some point. Such a huge surprise, I had no intentions of breeding any of my spiders, and yet her I am, grandma to all these little slings! As you can see, #CarlitosPaez has been quite the busy body lately. I haven't gotten a molt from this guy yet and haven't been able to properly sex. As my little slings are getting bigger, I've been upgrading habitats and decided to set #SusanaParrado up with some fancy digs. She looked so big in her last set up, but so tiny compared to #CarlitosPaez. I love that they're both out n about at the same time, I'm obsessed with just watching them cruise around doing spider stuff. Pretty good plant baby haul from @idiggreenacres today! I've been considering adding live plants to my #tarantula terrariums and decided to do some shopping. Word is #pothos do best in most terrariums, so I got two types that I can take cuttings from as I need for new enclosures. #CarlitosPaez prefers a dryer substrate though, so I decided to go with some #airplants to go with the new cork hide.
