I sent a message in the Discord server, telling them to form their own opinions on this, and I was basically pushed aside and actually had members of the server telling a mod (who COMPLETELY disregards what Craig has done) to threaten me and shit. I’m sitting here fucking angry, upset, what he did wasn’t fucking fair. I’m watching Halley’s video, and I’m so close to crying for her. Sami didn’t deserve this, these girls didn’t deserve this.
If you support Craig, get off this blog. Don’t follow me, don’t message me, don’t interact with me whatsoever. If you think what he did was okay, his FUCKING IGNORANCE, is okay, then you’re as bad as he is.
Craig, if you’re reading this, I’m so disappointed, I’m angry, I’m fucking hurt. I know you follow this blog, so if you see this I hope something gets through your head. I supported you for years, I went to your tour, you pulled my fucking friend on STAGE! You interacted with me! Your stupid videos saved my life, and here you are, groveling for support because you were too scared to face your problems. PREDATORS DON’T DESERVE A PLATFORM
I’m just tired of finding out youtubers I followed for years, personalities that helped me just cope with life for years, have had inappropriate conversations with their underage fans.
Like, fuck man. I just feel sick. Why do people suck so bad?
Okay, but that everyone immediately stopped following and wanted to deplatform Cry, but barely anyone is talking about Mini and many are even defending him, speaks volumes about toxicity within the gaming community, including gaming Youtubers and their fans. In both cases, these are popular gaming Youtubers accused of kinda pedophilic coercion and assault of women. In both cases, the Youtubers have big fanbases based around a cult of personality. And yet, the responses have been astronomically different.
To me it seems like most of Cryaotic's fans were more progressive or at the very least more inclusive because of Cry's own perceived political affiliations (this is in no way praise for Cry, but rather, his fans). To me, that speaks to his fans' inclination to believe assault survivors almost immediately. On the other hand, Mini's fans are more the Vannoss gaming-type - gamer boys who pretend they aren't bigots and that all forms of bigotry don't exist in the 21st-Century US of A. They're the kind who keep watching his videos and are defending him on Twitter. These aren't people who believe survivors; they're the kind who cry "but there's no evidence" and call survivors sluts or attention seekers because god forbid anyone accuse their favorite white boy of assault.
One, gamers and gaming fandoms need to stop idolizing celebrities. Stop putting Youtubers and Twitch streamers on pedestals because they only thing they ever did to deserve that kind of recognition was play games and make funny videos. These extremely average white men don't deserve your unadulterated adoration and treatment as kings. Two, fucking believe survivors. You don't know these people; stop defending them as if they can do no wrong. You may want to think you know Craig from his Uno and Reddit and FPS videos, but you fucking don't. You don't know what he does in his private life or how he treats or views women. Stop defending these people to your last breath because they don't fucking deserve it.
Anyways. I'm just pissed tf off no one talked about Miniladd, and everyone's acting like everything's fine :/
