I prefer shaving over waxing or hair removal creams (which I find do more harm than good). While waxing is effective, I feel like it's not always possible to get waxed, especially for spontaneous plans. This is where I come in to give my tips for meri priyein sakhis.
1. Trim First
Before shaving, trim the hairs if needed. The shorter the hair, the easier and closer the shave will be.
2. Exfoliate
Exfoliation is crucial. It removes dead cells that may clog your hair follicles, prepares the follicles for hair removal and may prevent ingrown hairs. Use a gentle exfoliator or mild scrub specifically for sensitive areas or tools like loofahs or exfoliating gloves. Continue exfoliating every few days after shaving.
3. Apply Shaving Cream/ Gel
Use a shaving cream or gel that's suitable for sensitive skin, ex- oils, non-scented baby soaps, sensitive skin shaving gels. It's best to do your own research. Remember whatever you choose to apply is strictly for outside and not to go on the inside portion of the vagina. Let it sit for a few minutes to soften the hairs.
4. Choose the Right Razor
A good razor is essential. Men's razor could be a good alternative since it's mostly for sensitive skin. Again, I think you should do your own research before buying. Also, keep your normal shaving razor and vag razor different.
5. Shaving Technique
Most important step in shaving is the direction in which you shave which is in the direction of hair growth (downwards), not against it. Another method is side to side but never upwards or against the grain because that causes irritation & hair bumps. So on, don't press too hard and avoid over-shaving the same area.
6. Aftercare
Rinse with cold water to soothe the skin. Apply products to prevent razor bumps, like coconut oil and use a natural moisturiser like aloe vera gel. Pat the skin dry and wear breathable clothes. Cotton underwear is best, or go commando to let your skin breathe.
mini care tips:
Use natural/organic pads, tampons and liners
Stop using products with fragrance on them on your body. They are extremely harmful and throws off your body's ph balance.
I know I said do your own research, but I still want to lay it out there that from my own experimentations and research, coconut oil is the best. No shaving creams or other products can compare. Though they ruin the razors really fast.
There's nothing wrong with your natural vagina smell but if you want it to taste sweet, try to incorporate more teas, water, lime water, cranberry juice and more natural food in general (fruits and vegetables) to keep your ph balanced.
I said this before but wear mainly cotton underwear and go commando as much as you would like to let your vagina breathe.
Men’s razors >>> women's razors. Cheaper, closer shave and cleaner.
A non-fandom related tip I just felt like spouting on here about pets on meds
If your pet has a medication you have to administer that the animal is aware of and does not like, I cannot stress the importance of an immediate way to let them know the situation is over. Not just to help them destress, but to re-establish the trust that giving medicine can disrupt. It's not just positive reinforcements, it's turning the "unwanted medicine time" to something that has a set start and end time, so they're not on high alert afterward.
Just thought of this after remembering that I accidentally taught my one cat chin scratches and, "All done," after having to give her oral medicine for 6 weeks a couple years ago. I started scratching her chin and telling her she was a good girl and all done after every administration. Every time, and no "oh nevermind I missed a few mL" - when that happened I let enough time pass if possible to separate it.
This didn't make her want to avoid the medicine less, but she's a smart cat. Eventually, she learned that "All done," really meant the ordeal was over for now. She would put her chin on my hand for scratches, and we'd mostly get back to normal. She didn't avoid me nervously for a while afterwards - she'd follow me immediately for dinner if needed.
This same cat is currently on an asthma nebulizer. She knows what it looks like and knows the sound of the inhaler being shaken and primed. And she hates is/tries to sneakily shimmy away. She's generally good when being held and administered but clearly unhappy. When she's done, she gets praise and an "All done!" and she's completely fine being given pets and face scritches and doesn't flinch away, afraid I'm grabbing her for more stuff. It's been so much heathier for her. I even use it at the vet when she's done with her shots or letting her out of the carrier after a trip. Idk I've just found having that clear verbal marker helps her a lot.
Is a 5-10 gallon tank + plants good enough for a betta tank? I’ve been doing my research but I could use a second opinion. Thank you
I'm not really the most well equipped to answer this but I'll still try. I would get a 10 or more gallon tank it would also need proper filtration and heating in order for it to be happy and thrive, thanks for going through the proper research to make sure your future betta will be happy.
Hey so since the incident with skids I separated Galvatron from the rest. But my newest adoptee, Twitch, (she’s a Terran, which I think are rare) found her way over to him, Galvatron took a liking to her and now Galvatron’s. Giving her piggyback rides.
The thing is I’m concerned about is that Galvatron will be a bad influence on her.
Oh yeah, and is this cute?
oh a terran!! A lovely little bot... Good to hear Skids is ok. And I will say this looks fine, cybertronus terran are incredibly endearing to most bots as well. Every current known member of the species is very young! And it shows, this often leads to older bots taking on a guardian role to some degree.
Of course there are exceptions, and Galvatron should not be their only mentor figure- terrans are extremely impressionable.

Hey everyone! here’s a interesting little care tip if any of you have plush toys with scuffs and scratches on their glass eyes.
Simply apply some toothpaste to the eye and rub with either a soft bristled toothbrush or some cloth. be very careful with toothbrushes though as they do tend to leave micro scratches on the eye which can leave them less shiny.
Toothpaste works by filing down a layer of glass which in turn removes small scratches and is extremely effective on scuffs.
Hope it helps! It works wonders on my Beanie boos and fixed up the really bad scuff on Dee Dee’s eye like a charm.
Hey tumbly friends, I’m at work today but here’s a pic from when I was cute💁🏽♀️
Reminders for today✨
- anxiety/stress can manifest as anger or irritation. Something I’ve learned is to give myself breaks in high stress situations. 5min of silence can work wonders. Also, starting phrases with the words “I feel...” instead of automatically being accusatory can really help with self expression w/o leading to an argument.
- time change is this Sunday!! Start preparing yourself for the schedule change. The more prepared we are mentally, the better!
- the holidays are coming, and with them colder, gloomier weather which means Depression season. Prepare yourself for your bad days NOW. Buy some easy-to-make frozen meals, have a plan if you need a mental heath day, let your friends/family/medical professionals know what’s going on. Be ready for the bad days.
