i feel like this happens a lot. i couldn't stress "go with your gut feeling" more. the biggest, most recent case of this, for me, was at work almost a year ago. i had the feeling that things weren't right. i had just taken over the ordering of supplies and what not, and things just weren't adding up. i didn't want to get in trouble for the hundreds, maybe even thousands because who knows how long it'd been going on, worth of merch and supplies that were missing. so i started paying more attention to what came in and what we used and who said what. i got the feeling that one of my coworkers was stealing. it wasn't until about a month later that i house sat for said coworker and found evidence that my gut feeling had been correct. she was fired and i was granted employee of the month. but i wouldn't even have needed the honor, i was just glad that i wasn't in trouble and that i'd done the right thing.
