Two weeks prior he was hungry and desperate, stupidly in the sake of sating himself he had consumed a strange ‘meat’ that came from bizarre plant that tried to eat him. Or so it did till he plucked the ‘leafy meat’ from it’s central stem;only then at the time did he fail to realize why they stopped attacking.

    It was because he made himself a new potential host to create another hive. Like how animals unknowingly carry the seeds of various plants on their fur; the lure plant took advantage of him consuming it’s concealed spore pods to grow within him and later assert a new location to grow. Soon to be one of the many that would spread across the continent.

    In the weeks that followed he felt first the sensation of abdominal pains,then came the fever & rashes. The burning skin crawling sensations, he was convinced it was poisoned,but instead it was worst,it was slow death of monsters eating him within. Soon he felt the interior of his chest itch like the symptoms mucks being inside it during a cold,but it wasn’t mucus,it was the roots spreading into every pore withing the lungs drastically worsening his breathing.

   Soon it spread along the walls of his wind pipe and his throat entirely, he found himself the past few days now to weak to even seek help; if there was any at all,it wasn’t coming likely. Maybe it didn’t even know he was there, he just wanted to close his eyes wind wake up back at home in California,away from all this like nightmare that he‘ll soon escape from and return to his old mundane life.

   But that was just not int he cards for him, this was his reality now. Just yesterday...he felt the move horrid pain like needles poking out of his skin, upon looking he was filled with terror to see fines and flowers breaking out of his skin,between his arms, his legs, not a single bit of his original form was left.

   Later he laid their screaming at the top of his lungs for help, waiting for anyone to hear him. Pleading for a merciful quick death, each hour passed nobody came,most of his skin was covered ain lack layer of some kind of moss, his left hand ‘grew’ into small clusters of flowers and growing buds.

   He was becoming a living human garden,left there inside his own tent, the  a punishment he never deserved. Most of his body was in a way now ‘planted’ into surrounding dirt under his sleeping mat; roots had ruptured from his abdomen and rib-cage exposing internal organs, tainted with the plant corruption,all re-modified for new purpose to keep him alive. Just as well to ensure he was planted firmly to the soil,trapped forever.

   There he laid,giving pained wheezing labored breaths, which each exhaled breath spores emitted from his mouth,he was being used to transform his own former camp into a new growth for the lure plant.

    No longer able to move he was trapped in his own mind, begging,pleading for it to end,for death to finally free him of this nightmarish prison. With what was left of his vocal cords he etched out a last pleading phrase under the brush growing over him.
