i love the misinformation website. this is a fearmongering copypasta that’s been going around for like two years now lol it’s not true. also, the “edit image with apps” button that originated all of this was removed last year.

discord is not secretly adding bots to every single discord server. that /ban command works on those user IDs because you can use /ban on an account that’s not in the server if you have their user ID. you can ban me from whatever server you want if you have my user ID but that doesn’t mean i was secretly in there watching you the whole time.

here’s a longer post with cited sources about the whole DomoAI debacle, written by someone else who knows more about it than me, if you want to know more about what’s actually happening and if you want to know what tools you have as a server owner to prevent images sent in your server from being taken up by one of these bots (hint: banning the bot is not one of them)
