From Chaos to Calm
These days, feeling overwhelmed and chaotic has become all too common. But what if you could shift your state of mind to embrace calm and centeredness? The following simple yet effective strategies will help you transform your mental space and find peace amidst the chaos.
The first thing to do is to just breathe. Practice box breathing (inhale 4 counts, hold 4 counts, exhale 4 counts, hold 4 counts – or any variation, such as 4-6-8, etc).
Kick off your mornings with a routine that makes you feel good and sets a positive tone.
Focus on accomplishing the urgent and important tasks first and delegate or eliminate the non-essential/unimportant ones.
Set boundaries and communicate your needs to help protect your mental health and preserve your energy for what truly matters.
Exercise is an effective outlet for stress. Move your body!
