The U.S. has broken its promise of equal pay for equal work. Let's change that.
The House is planning to vote tomorrow on the Paycheck Fairness Act – which would bring us closer to finally making equal pay a reality.
Today, women still earn only about 80 cents for every dollar men earn. The disparity is even worse among Black and Latinx women. Making equal pay a reality in the U.S. is long overdue – and we can finally begin to do that with the Paycheck Fairness Act, which would give employees the tools they need to challenge the wage gap, and create a climate where wage discrimination is no longer tolerated.

We debated for a long time, whether we should post this or not. On the shores of India, this seems like a distant issue. Like, we don't have the right to comment on it. Or will it come off as pandering? While those students fight for their lives, we are putting content on our Insta page. But we thought that we have a voice, which means we have, not a duty, not an obligation, but a choice to comment on it. There is a darkness in this world that we may seem to adore, but while we may revel in darkness, we will not condone evil. And this is evil. When a country cannot protect its own children, it does not get to call itself the land of the free. When leaders cannot protect their own children, they do not get to walk with their head raised high. When we see evil and do not raise our voice, we do not get to call ourselves good and get away with it. Follow: https://www.instagram.com/daughtersofdystopia/

They are voting on another Healthcare bill tomorrow (Thursday 5/4/17).
This one is even worse than the last.

I can’t believe I didn’t write a weed legalization phone script for 4/20.
I am a moron.
(But seriously Democrats should get on board with weed legalization if only for strategic reasons and this is a great thing to call your rep about).
