With these adorable gender reveal cake pops, you can share the joy of expecting parents. These treats have a sweet surprise inside and would make an adorable addition to a baby shower.
Ingredients: 1 box of cake mix any flavor you prefer. 1/2 cup of frosting pink or blue, depending on gender. 1 package of candy melts pink and/or blue. Cake pop sticks. Sprinkles pink and blue.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the box to bake the cake, then let it cool completely. In a large bowl, break up the cooled cake into small pieces. Mix the frosting into the cake crumbs until everything is well mixed. Make little cake balls out of the mix and put them on a baking sheet. Take each cake ball and put a cake pop stick in it. Then freeze them for 15 to 20 minutes. Follow the directions on the package to melt the pink and blue candy melts in separate bowls. Cover the whole cake ball with the melted candy melts as you dip each cake pop. Add pink and blue sprinkles to the cake pops before the candy coating sets. To let them set all the way, put the cake pops in a stand or a piece of Styrofoam. Once the candy coating is hard, tap off any extra sprinkles with a soft object. Place the cake pops on a serving platter. To find out the gender, switch between the pink and blue pops. Have fun at your cute baby shower with these yummy cake pops that reveal the baby's gender.
