La mia cagna è molto sofisticata. Sa perfettamente cosa preferisce, quello che mi piace. Perciò sono io quello che ha il vero potere: la obbligo sempre a fare ciò che vuole lei.

Io sono come quella foglia, guarda, sul nudo ramo, che un prodigio ancora tiene attaccata.

Negami dunque. Non ne sia rattristata la bella età che a un'ansia ti colora, e per me a slanci infantili s'attarda.

Dimmi tu addio, se a me dirlo non riesce. Morire è nulla; perderti è difficile.

I am like that leaf, look, on the bare branch, to which wonder still attaches.

Ignore me then. Don’t be saddened by my great age that fills you with anxiety, and lingers here in childish outbursts.

Wish me farewell, though there’s no need to say it. Dying is nothing; it’s losing you is hard.
