some of her others i wanna rewatch & revisit bc it's been years since i saw it and i was a lot younger at the time when i did, like breakfast at tiffany's (1961) and the children's hour (1961). kinda wild those are both the same year wow.. but yeah! i feel like i'd get a lot more out of them now (though i do remember the children's hour fondly)

admittedly, a lot of these are nostalgia picks! but i do think they all hold up okay (more or less) 🙂‍↕️ there's a number of other classic srk movies i do like, but didn't make the list bc i need to revisit them now that im older (since, as a kid, i was barely comprehending plot sometimes). for example: swades, veer-zaara, dil se, kal ho naa ho (i remember this one well enough but it still needs a rewatch), don 1 & 2, etc. there's also a TON that i haven't seen at all that i really wanna watch but that'd be a pretty exhaustive list so im not gonna get into that rn 😭

he's honestly been really good in like everything i've seen him in so far so its a pretty stacked list bc of that. my (relatively) underrated picks i emphasize are def "lady chatterley's lover" (which kickstarted me wanting to get back into reading that book) & "starred up". not a show, but i did also enjoy "the north water" miniseries

all these are pretty "basic" faves, i know! but in fairness, a ton of his movies are just iconic and well-known sooo y'know. 😭 of his well-known ones though, the only reason 'the shape of water' isn't here is bc i really need to rewatch it! for a more underrated GDT pick, i'd probably say "the devil's backbone" (2001) 🙂‍↕️ i haven't seen his hellboy movies, but i really need to fr!

my affinity for some of these varies, but they all leave their impact fr! "the handmaiden" is easily a top fave in general as well as my favorite by him so i highly rec that one 🙂‍↕️ almost all of these i need to rewatch (the 'vengeance trilogy' esp) bc i got into it bc of oldboy sooo many years ago in a film class (which was my first foray into PCW's work as it was for many)

toughie, music has been so kind to us this year.... im gonna say infohazard by ninajirachi. the sadly near-universal experience of being young on the internet and coming across snuff/gore content doesnt sound like a solid foundation of a songwriting topic but it works so well.

8. game of the year?

i havent actually played many 2025 games looking back on it... i guess id say fantasy life i? the original on the 3ds was so much better and fleshed out by many multiples but i guess i dont have many to choose from lolol

18. a memorable meal this year?

my birthday dessert! i hadnt managed to work up the courage to eat cake in like over 2 years and i had two slices of orange poppyseed cake. so yummy and so worth it even if it was hard
