During my time at The Cadets2, whenever I put the uniform on, I felt years and years of history marching right behind me. Yesterday, I had the honor of meeting a small contingent of the amazing people that came before me. The Cadets alumni are all such amazing and welcoming people, and to have spent time with them was a blessing, in every sense. Given the whirlwind of the last week, they decided they needed to come together. To have met 3 of the women that came forward, ans well as a couple that didn’t, was honestly so powerful. They said themselves “Don’t look at us as heroes, see us as people that did what they had to do.” And they’re fighting their fight, while behind the scenes, others are working around the clock the marching arts a better place, for the future men and women that perform under the stadium lights we all fell in love with. I am forever a Cadet, and it was an honor to have so many lovely people that reminded me of that. #TimesUp #cadets #cadets2 #lsttv #fhnsab #drumcorps

Life has become different within the past few months. Some good shit, some ugly shit, but I think I'm doing well. I used to use Tumblr to vent so I'll do it a little more I guess. I haven't shut anyone out but there are definitely people who were in my life that aren't and or won't be in my life anymore. I'm doing things for myself, enjoying myself, and finding out who I am. I have a great part time job, I'm attending college in the fall, and about a month ago I begen marching with the Cadets2 Drum and Bugle Corps. It's just a major lifestyle change. I'm a more self-respecting person, I'm managing my time and space better, and every second as a Cadet I try to inhale and exhale excellence. Two months ago I didn't expect things to be like this now, but it is what it is. My responsibilities within my job and the corps are overall just enhancing my experience and how I carry myself. I don't think I'm happy, but I'm better than I was.

so idk if anyone’s really ever kept up w/me on here, but I kinda went off of the tumblr grid for a bit, but now I’m back!! here’s some küle new things happening since I’ve left:
I graduated high school!
alongside that, I had a graduation party
I started dating this amazing guy named anthony back in June and things are going swimmingly between the two of us! I think I like him more than I’ve liked anyone and he treats me the way I deserve :-)
I went on vacation to new york w/my best friend, Rachel
I went on vacation to the poconos w/my family
I started school @ penn state and am commuting (I’m at a commonwealth campus atm bc I’m broke hahaaha)
I became a Lion Ambassador (which basically means I work with prospective students and give tours and stuff so that’s nifty)
I signed up to audition for Cadets2!!!!
Life is good!!!! I’m excited (although I’m already v sick of school hahahaaaaaha)
I’m trying to update my blog so that it is more current and more accurate. I’ve had the same theme for like 2 years so I just changed it, and I’m hoping to revamp everything within the next month. I’ll keep y’all posted :-)
