#front ensemble

some interesting things that happened:

we learned the last part of our show music in like two hours it was crazy fast

had to teach alternating bars of 5/8 and 2/4 to people that can't count rhythms in common time

our band director said he would mic and wire cords onto instruments every day this week and it still isn't done yet!

brought back traditions that the previous upperclassmen had let slide

Okay so A don’t get me started and B get me started (also hey hi it’s been a minute since we’ve talked missed ya)

Okay so if we’re talking on a personal level I’d have to say pit/front ensemble because like two weeks ago drum line walked in to put their drums away and one of the techs low-key yelled at us for no reason but I like mostly everyone in pit (minus number one opp and these other two creeps) and they sound amazing so like there’s that

On a musical level Im gonna have to go with specifically these three trumpets and one trombone player. Only three of the trumpets because the other two are one of my best friends and this guy I used to have a crush on and they’re both like crazy good but the other three are bed and messed up this one song two quarters ago so yeah. The trombone player I speak of is super religious and tried to force me into Christianity which like not cool and he also messed up the same song the other guys messed up. Idk I don’t really “hate” a section musically just personally.

I’m played in band for Front Ensemble Percussion, since we have like 20 percussion kids we get assigned a primary group Front or drum line, my main instrument was Marimba and crash cym. Depending on if we were doing marching or concert band but I also played

it’s actually so cool?? I may only be on synth this season (synth 1 😻😻) but my part fits me very well and I feel very important to the show!!! it’s so fun and I genuinely adore it so much. this week is sectional camps (eight hour days 😔) but it’s so fun. then we have band camp coming soon and it’s spooky but so very fun, and I’m so glad I’m doing this season
