Sunny the flying lemur puppet!
This is my first cable puppet. I made her from scratch, even modeled her! I've never done anything like this before.
She's for my Airbender costume.

I checked my records and I started this puppet sometime in 2023. She only got wings just today! They were in my closet for months. I thought they were unfinished still, but they looked done so I stuck them on. I guess I was fussing over them too much. She still needs some hair styling and jewelry. This project is meant to essentially be a master work, deliberately over the top and incorporating as many of my skills as I can. You can see a video of her moving here.
A Halloweeny Addition!
Meet Grubble! Normally I would explain what things are when I get them... but grubble here is a bit of a mystery! I got him off of a very vague auction. Let me explain what we might know:
1. Grubble is most likely somewhere between 15-30+ years old.
2. He's probably a woodbaby puppet! I did some digging and found a few sources that are pointing me in that direction.
3. His species? His previous owner said he was a baby gargoyle, but I've discovered he's probably a jhari cat! (but he's a baby gargoyle to me ❤️)
Now, I know nothing about these little guys or the companies associated with them, but I do know Grubble is one of the cutest little guys I've ever seen!
However, as always on this blog, he needed some restoration work! Restoration details under the cut!
Meet Watzit! part squirrel, part dragon, part (i dunno sound), he’s the first of a buncha cable puppets i’ve got in the works. he sits on yer shoulder and his head is moved by a hidden bicycle brake cable inside the body. he’s got sculpted limbs, ears, and face with gate beads for eyes, a carnelian necklace, and dyed rabbit fur hair. I’ve got a few smaller one-cable puppets in the works, and a few two-cable dragons, owls, and mermaids planned, too!
also, have a bonus Thragg Skullcrusher, Customer Service Barbarian. Scourge of the Northern Isles, Son of Gragg Fleshripper, and employee of the month for five months running.
This is Francis, my new little cable puppet that I made He can move his head up and down, and a little bit to the sides (I think the wire might not be thick enough lol) He was made with aluminum foil, oven-bake clay, glass decoration stones, faux fur (from a tail I had laying around), paint and a bicycle cable (taken from my old bike) oh and half a chopstick lol here's a video of him in action eew, my voice, eew
