𝐃𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐚𝐝𝐤𝐚 

Two days ago, I prepared some dal tadka, cabbage thoran, and chapati for our staff working hard in preparation for the reopening of our cafe on Deepavali day after a facelift. 

We do not serve these dishes to our customers but thought it's ideal for this festival season. 

I have posted the recipes of chapati and cabbage thoran earlier, so here is my interpretation of the classic dish dal tadka.

It can be done at home quickly once you have all the ingredients required. 

𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐠𝐞 (𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧)

I love the flavor of mustard and cumin seeds of  Indian fry cabbage (Cabbage Thoran). I follow the version served at the Mamak store in Malaysian as close as possible.

My usual cabbage stir-fry is with garlic and fried shrimp. This side dish is a  welcoming change for my dinner.

Aso makes some chapati and dal tadka, so tonight we will serve Indian style dinner at home.
