A couple of weeks ago, I had the dilemma of remembering that one music video by a female pop duo that has a futuristic vibe to it of some sort. I no longer remember the lyrics of the song, and I can’t remember anything from the video, so obviously I can’t Google it. Every single day for almost a week, I set aside a time for Googling about “90s female pop groups” “90s girl bands” “underrated female groups” etc to no avail.Â
Anyone who’s had the same dilemma would understand how just fucking one tune and one frame of the music video can get stuck in your head and make you feel sick that no other thing would ever cure you except to know the title of this song!Â
Lo and behold one day I was browsing through old pictures on my laptop and came across a Top of the Pops list which included names of female groups and started Googling and the rest is history!Â
Other 90s songs that I rediscovered (not necessarily my favorites) but hearing these again instantly transported me back to the 90s:
Push It by Garbage
I am, I Feel by Alisha’s Attic Â
Lift Me Up by Geri “Ginger Spice” Halliwell
All The Things She Said by t.A.T.u.
Man, I Feel Like A Woman by Shania TwainÂ
C’est La Vie by B*WitchedÂ
Crush - Jennifer Page
Erase & Rewind by The Cardigans
Everyday Is A Winding Road by Sheryl Crow
Thank you, self, for doing that one-week research! XDÂ
And if you want more, I have prepared the ultimate 90s playlist:Â ODE TO 90s POP and SOME!Â
