â  - Your character throwing a snowball at mine
Rubbing his hands together before shoving them in his pockets, Youngjae grimaced as his breath came out in the form of a white puff. He hurried back to his dorm when a force collided with his back and he immediately felt wetness spreading across his back. With a frown he spun around, already poised to tell off whoever had the nerve.
He paused when he located the culprit, his scowl immediately replaced with a small smile. His eyes followed the otherâs movements with amusement, watching the figure duck from lamp post to lamp post and even behind a trash can as if he were trying to be stealthy. âIf you wanted to be a ninja you probably shouldnât have worn black in an all white background,â Youngjae called out as he walked towards Daehyun.
The addressed male stood up straight and just laughed as Youngjae pressed their lips together before he nipped at his nose in retaliation. âAnd Iâd like it a lot more if you stopped making me colder than I am already and came inside with me.â
â - My character gets yours a gift
"Lemme see!" came the elderâs voice, a whine tinting his tone when Youngjaeâs hands refused to budge from his eyes. Â "Waitttt," the blonde insisted. "Keep yours eyes closed. Okay? If you open them I swear Iâll keep your presents. Well.. maybe one of them I donât really wan- Okay you know what just stand there and keep your eyes closed!"
Youngjae let his hands drop, moving in front of the elder to see his eyes still closed. He smiled and rummaged around his room for the box and the bag that had the elderâs name scribbled on. âWait..â he repeated as he moved in front of his boyfriend. âOkay, you can open them now.â
He held out the box as Daehyunâs eyes opened. âIâm pretty sure you can guess what this is.. I bought a whole one. Eat. Slowly,â he reminded with a chuckle. The ladies at the bakery had looked at him weird when he asked for a full cheesecake; he was guessing they didnât get that order often. More hesitantly than before, he held out the bag that contained a book and a small box. Inside the box was a plain silver band with a simple but still intricate crown engraved on the exterior and a heart monitor line on the inside of the ring.
Youngjae had been more than frustrated as he searched for a good present in the city when he had walked past the bookstore they had visited before. He had turned a bright red when the cashier eyed him with a knowing look and a smirk as he rung up the very graphic book. Right after he had all but sprinted from the store, he passed a small jewelry store where custom-made rings were on sale. He hesitated before he entered, deciding he would get something that the elder had wanted, and then something that he himself wanted the other to have. Besides, he liked being able to spend on his boyfriend for once, knowing he would never be allowed to otherwise.Â
As Daehyun pulled out the book with slight surprise, Youngjae coughed and glanced else where to avoid the maleâs most likely mischievous gaze. âDonât. Say. A word.â
⼠- A drabble of our characters cuddling and watching holiday movies
"Really? This is your favorite holiday movie?" Daehyun asked incredulously, holding up the speculated item.
The younger merely shrugged from his comfortable spot on the couch, just offering a quiet laugh and a slight smile. âItâs a good movie..â His cheeks puffed out just slightly as his arms crossed instinctively, automatically defending his interests. He scooted to the side as the elder slid into the space beside him after popping in the dvd. He automatically moved back so they snugly fit together in the cramped space, head resting on the boyâs shoulder as his eyes fixed on the tv screen.
"Okay but.. The Rise of the Guardians? Really? Didnât peg you as the cartoon type..â Daehyun laughed quietly, fingers running through the youngerâs silky blonde strands.
Youngjae let his eyes flick up to look at the other, a small grin playing at his lips as he opened his mouth to retort. But just as he did so, the screen lit up, drawing his attention back to it. He leaned up to peck the otherâs lips before chiding in a playfully stern voice, âShh, the movieâs starting. I like the beginning.â
ă- A drabble about our characters building a snowman
"Yah, Dae, where did the carrot go?" Youngjaeâs cheeks were rosy even though they were mostly hidden by the scarf wrapped snugly around his neck and mouth. He took a step back to admire the snowman theyâd been working on for the past half hour or so.
Youngjae hadnât done anything like this in a long time, the last occurence being more than ten years ago. It was no fun doing it by himself, he had tried. Heâd marked it off as a childish act, but with Daehyun participating with him it was quickly becoming a happy memory for him.
"What, do you think I ate it?" Came Daehyunâs voice from behind the snowman before he stepped into view, waving the carrot with an exaggerated expression of offense. Youngjae just grinned behind his cloth barrier and snatched the carrot from the otherâs hand and sticking it in the correct spot, satisfied. The elder stepped next to him, wrapping his armâs around Youngjaeâs waist as he murmured, "What should we name him?"
The younger thought about it before stating confidently, âSnowy.â There was a beat of silence before a laugh escaped Daehyunâs lips. âWhat??â Youngjae demanded as the two began walking back to the dorms. âIs that really the first thing that you could think of?â
"Hush. Itâs practical."
㡠- A drabble about our characters shopping for presents
The younger groaned as the entered yet another store, he had lost count of how many they had been in. Their goal was supposed to be Christmas shopping, but for some reason or other the pair seemed to be easily sidetracked. They spent much of the day entering random stores, trying on items here and there and arguing over gift choices for their friends. Being the unimaginative gift giver he was, Youngjae had to take the elderâs advice on more than one account.
He leaned against the wall as Daehyun wandered around the store, checking the time on his phone as he yawned softly. He hadnât browsed so many different places in one day in.. never actually. He made his way over to his lover, leaning forward and resting his chin on the elderâs shoulder as he looked over it. âAre you finished? Ready to go?â Youngjae asked as his hand slipped into the otherâs, locking their fingers together.
He blinked as he felt a light pressure atop his head as Daehyun placed something on it with a grin. His hands reached up to grab it and see what it was, but the elder lightly smacked his hands away, âNo, leave it!â Frowning, Youngjae walked to the nearest mirror and nearly balked at the shiny, glittery, feminine crown atop his blonde locks. âMerry Christmas! Maybe I should buy you that, hm?â He could almost hear the laughter in the older maleâs voice without even having to turn around.
Fixing Daehyun with a very dry look, he removed the offensive object and shoved it towards the other, gathering their bags. âGood then, I take it youâre finished.â With that he grabbed the otherâs hand and dragged him out, heading back to school.
