I had the weirdest experience yesterday and I knew you were just the person to ask about it! My friends cat got out a few weeks ago and we just found him on the 15th... He had been hit by a car. We know it was him because of his very distinctive markings and his collar. But yesterday I was out walking my dog down a different street and (after seeing 5-6 other dead animals, which was weird on its own) I found a cat in the exact same position, same markings, same collar. Could it be a glitch?
That sounds like a pretty big glitch to me. That's pretty creepy, actually. I'd be worried if that was the actual cat and whatever came back wasn't. I mean if the cat is acting the same and doesn't have any major personality changes then it's probably the same one, but that is so creepy.
Something similar happened to my dad's parents' cat. She was a really bad tempered cat and hissed at and scratched literally everyone, and then one day she went missing, and after a few days someone mentioned that they'd seen a cat that looked exactly like her (with collar) at the side of the road, looking pretty dead. They went out looking for her to bury her but couldn't find her, and then about a week later an identical cat with identical markings and the same collar showed up at their house again, but this cat was very sweet and friendly and liked to jump on everyone's laps.
We still have no idea what happened. Either it was a glitch, or somehow she survived, recovered in a week, and came back with a new change of heart thanks to her near death experience.
