i know i’m fundamentally incapable of shutting up about this lately but i cannot even express how happy it makes me to be fully, wholeheartedly, ecstatically excited for a star wars release again. i was so burnt out for so long and i never really clicked with or had much attachment to the sequel trilogy (especially after all the stuff about how john boyega and kelly marie tran were treated), and the only things i’ve really cared about that they’ve put out in the last 6 years are rogue one and the mandalorian, and even those didn’t elicit the same level of eagerness i feel now. maybe it sounds silly but it really does feel like coming home after a long time away, and i’m especially grateful to feel this kind of joy again after having such a difficult few months where it was nearly impossible to find anything that made me genuinely and sustainably happy
