Buncible and Gl1tcher are doing a retrospective on their old computercraft series and when Bunce asked if he could use some of my old fanart in episode 2 I thought itâd be nice to redraw the piece. Hard to believe itâs been just over 3 years!
If you were a fan of VGToolbox back then you should go check out the retrospectives, and if youâve never watched VGToolbox before go check out the old series. Theyâre sweet guys and I always got a good giggle out of their shows.Â

I posted this stuff on Twitter after hurriedly writing it this evening.
I'm going to do something I don't normally do. I'm going to reflect on a calendar year of my life.
Normally to my mind New Year is nothing but a number increment. But 2018 has been different. 2018 had a start and an end. 2017 was different, and 2019 will be different again.
I started 2018 celebrating Hogmanay on a tenement roof in Glasgow, holding hands and singing Auld Lang Syne. I'd barely met the people and I definitely didn't know the words, but I knew 2018 would be my year of recovery. I had a lot to recover from.
In the 3 years before, I'd lost my dream job, my social circles, my oldest friend (my cat BT) and all hope. I spent 24 months unemployed. I took walks instead of meals because I could afford to and to scope out unsecured restaurant bins. I was thousands of pounds in debt.
Luckily I have good friends who came to my rescue. They made sure I was fed. They made sure I had a roof over me. They even came and made sure my house was ready to lease out because I could no longer afford to live there. And most importantly, they made sure I knew I was loved.
I had 4 jobs in 2018. I started in pensions (a great place), moved briskly through insurance (real shithole that fired me for using my phone in the kitchen), and wound up in hospital facilities management (great place, dreadful commute). But I saved the best job of all for last.
Now here I am, proudly back in the games industry. For a long time I didn't think I could stomach such a return. I thought the heartbreak had salted the field for me. But I really love my job. I love being surrounded by passionate and creative people. And I love the work I do.
I'm not exactly where I want to be, but for the first time in a long time I can look at the last 12 months of my life with pride and the next 12 with optimism. I plan to be here next year not telling my sob story but listing my accomplishments.
Iâve been slowly chipping away at writing the next episode of Chaosville for literally nearly 12 months, in between bouts of crying and singing âWhy canât I move on?â on hotel balconies. And itâs sort of approaching completion.
Iâve had a remarkably shit couple of years, but it has been nice to return to creative writing every now and again, whenever it doesnât fill me with guilt and anxiety. And when itâs done, Iâll publish it. Hooray!
So as a testament to my commitment to âSave the Planetâ, here is the prologue.
Expect the complete Episode 37 to be released whenever I feel like getting around to it. :)
buncible replied to your post âman tekkit was such a good era. honestly the two good eras were...â
cv tho
cv was a fuckin gr8 era too cause it went from tekkit to ycp like. cause it had the tekkit era aesthetic of the stories and everyone getting super OP within a few episodes and then itâs just dicking around and doing the funny stuff which was fun to watch. and it excelled in the way of it didnt have the âbeeâ thing like with jaffa factory which kinda killed it after switching to a new pack. it just got better (them scorpions tho)Â
and then it was even funnier w/ the new rr2 stuff pre-ycp (cause there wasnt much mc for yogs then aside moonquest i think? yeah) and that was a fuckin highlight lemme tell u. and then ycp kinda took over and i mean it was still awesome tbh and it slowly kinda merged into ycp era which then got killed off and then became the post-golden stuff (still good tho)
basically sjin in his series made a bard (notorious for being annoying as hell) and named it âdavey boy chaosâ cause idk, and then put it in the flux buddiesâ base to anger them (so then kim killed the bard out of rage)
