thinking about a Back to the Future-esque Generator Rex AU where instead of getting sent to the future in Lions and Lambs, Rex gets blasted to the past and royally fucks up White Knight and Six's first meeting (where WK was hired to kill Six) and they never form their partnership. which of course means the rest of the show can't really happen...

so he's gotta sort that whole thing out while also trying to get back to the future (heh) and, of course, coming to terms that he can't fix everything. mourning the life he could have lived if there was no nanite project, his parents were alive, and he could remember his past with his brother. but that wouldn't be truly him without the tragedies! you have to let it happen. maybe you can't save everyone, but at least you tried
