Been a while since I've posted. More things from the Witchlight Game. A flashback to Hither.
The realm of neglect, left to moulder into a swampy derelict morass.
Where petty tyrants and courts feud with themselves and bandits hop about beating people up. Bablorna mostly occupies herself with improving her trade, letting her underlings merely keep everyone else preoccupied.
It was here where Spinner and Barry recovered their Lost Things.
In the bullywug stockade outside the ruins of the Forbidden City (Harry Quinn, AD&D module I1: Dwellers of the Forbidden City, TSR, 1981)

With a name that’s a portmanteau of frog and behemoth, the froghemoth is just that: an absolutely massive frog. Well, with the addition of tentacles. And a prehensile tongue. And three eyes contained in an eyestalk. Also, fangs? Sure, why not!
Froghemoths are largely solitary creatures, though they can reproduce asexually by laying a fertile egg every few years. The resulting baby will be lucky to survive without being eaten by its parent. Thankfully, the passage of time in the Sphere seems to have prevented the froghemoth from completing its reproduction cycle. If time passed in the sphere like it did in the real world, there’s no telling just how many hundreds of froghemoth spawn the Nein would have found.
No one really knows the origin of froghemoths, though they’re likely not Exandrian natives. We especially don’t know the origin of the particular froghemoth housed in the Folding Halls of Halas, or how it came to be stored in their Heirloom Sphere.
