So, build 42 is out.
I've decided to do a complete reset, nothing saved. Melissa Stoner is my next character, but right now I'm playing her boyfriend (my throw away character) Fred Todogs!
He's just visiting, so he doesnt know the area very well yet.
Something got my chickens. So we created the basement coop. Predators will now have to knock on my front door and find them if they want my live stock again.
So the ‘stories’ in PZ have gotten pretty grim, it seems.

no dont be sad devs b42 stable is so great if you ignore the inability to use ladders and the fact you killed the map and the way my game crashes every time i kill a zombie with a duffel bag and hiking the price up on a game thats still not even out of development and
good news: we're in build 42, we made a new group of survivors (in our head, they're all teenagers) who i sketched really roughly - meet Aro, Carry and Iva!! ♥

a list of things that have jumpsacred me in project zomboid's build 42 so far:
that fucking gong sound when you go to the esc menu. was it there before and i just had it turned off?
my own character's unexpected grunt
almost hitting a deer with my car
actually hitting a rabbit with my car :( (the hottest new feature is ROADKILL)
the first basement i ventured into had a zombie waiting HALFWAY DOWN THE STAIRS. almost killed me in real life
opened a door while swinging an axe and a window on the other side of the room shattered (on two separate occasions. unstable indeed)
opened a door fully expecting a zombie and there was nothing (actually made me laugh because it was such a stupid reason to get startled)

when the battery in my flashlight died and it was suddenly pitch black (very cool, very spooky)
triggering a house alarm. you would think i would be prepared for that by now, since that's not a new feature, but. hehe. i forgot
