if you place a bucket of gasoline by your bed it gives the game a touch of realism.
My new long term character (Alex) is a smoker, it's a first time for me and it's fun to look out for cigarettes. Hopefully my tobacco plants will yield a good harvest.

Totally random, but would anyone want to make a zomboid server together? B41, obviously, 42 doesn't have multi-player yet. It gets kinda boring when its just my sis and I. Can be a serious role play server or just a fuck around and find out (what my sister and I call our super easy servers).

TIS seems to have been hard at work! In no particular order, some of the changes that stood out to me:
No more death-by-tree
Added precautions against chickenpocalypse
If a character has line of sight to a television and has a TV Remote equipped in one of their hands, they can perform appropriate interactions such as on/off or changing the volume from a distance instead of having to be adjacent to or walk to the TV.
Hobo zombies spawn in derelict rooms
Re-enabled Disinfect Bandage using hot water, added tooltip to inform it needs to be very hot. (Hallelujah)
Sometimes fireplaces can have Bellows and/or Tongs on their square, as well as fireplace pokers.
Butter now require 5L of milk instead of 0.5L. (RIP Big Butter Supremacy)
Kitchen tongs can be used as "Crude Tongs" for some blacksmithing recipes; they'll also probably break after the first craft.
Players with the speed demon trait will sometimes very rarely (1% of the time) spawn with a Speeding Ticket in their inventory.
Fixed character not always attacking a closer zed even with MultiHit on.
Fixed Money not going inside wallets.
Fixed butchering animal inside a container not removing it.
Many, many loot balance tweaks
Note that a lot of people (myself included) had their loading screen stall out at 15/42, but it did eventually load in! Just give it time. That said playing on unstable is always going to have a bit of risk of new saves getting broken.
BRO IT KICKED ME?!?!?
