SO I’ve avoided posting anything about it because I don’t really like posting personal stuff on Tumbr, especially when that personal stuff is negative. I always like my blogs to be a happy fun positive space, since there’s enough gloom and doom on Tumblr as it is. But you guys deserve some sort of explanation!

BASICALLY I’ve just had a very rough go of things for the past few months, emotionally. A lot of not-great things have been happening to me that I won’t get into, but it’s made it very hard to pick up my pen and draw Speedee again. Speedee is chipper, optimistic little ball of sunshine, so writing and drawing her when I’m feeling pretty much the complete opposite of that is... almost impossible. There’s just this weird mental gate in my head that’s like NO U CANT DRAW SPEEDEE. SHE’S 2 HAPPY 4 U D< Which I haaaaate and is DUMB but that’s what’s going on. This is also why I’ve been so bad about reblogging / posting fanart / cameos. D:

I’m hoping that these feelings are just a situational thing! That once a few of the little personal disasters in my life get patched up, the clouds hanging over my head will part and the HEAVENS WILL OPEN AND I’LL DRAW SPEEDEE AGAIN AND IT’LL BE GREAT but y’know. I can’t really put a timeframe on any of those things right now.

I still fully intend on continuing this blog. I still love the characters and have a lot planned, but I just need to figure out my own life before I can keep showing you all Speedee’s. 

I’m considering maybe putting the current mini-arc on hold and doing some normal asks with members of the cast other than Speedee, if people are interested in that. Maybe even unlocking some of those mysterious silhouettes oooooOOooOooOoooh
