Vermutlich hat Google Translate schon mehr softwaretechnische Texte bearbeitet als die meisten menschlichen Übersetzer 

Mein Arbeitgeber verwendet ein Jira-System, eine Datenbank, die für jeden zu fixenden Bug und jedes neue Feature eines Softwareprodukts (mindestens) einen Eintrag enthält.

Ich muss aus den englischen Einträgen in diesem System deutsche Release Notes generieren und Google Translate ist jetzt gut genug, dass ich die englischen Kurzbeschreibungen dort hineinpasten kann, und danach nur noch ca. eine Umstellung pro Zeile machen muss. Und die Hälfte davon behebt keine Fehler, sondern entspricht nur meinem Stilempfinden.

Das Ergebnis ist auch deswegen beeindruckend, weil die Texte eine ganze Menge Akronyme und Jargon enthalten und ein Passus wie “mittels SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol) verschlüsselt übertragen“ eben nicht komplett übersetzt werden sollte.
