Ingredients: 2 cups gluten-free rolled oats. 1/4 cup protein powder gluten-free. 1/4 cup dried fruits e.g., raisins, cranberries. 1/4 cup chopped nuts e.g., almonds, walnuts. 2 tablespoons chia seeds. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 cup brown sugar or sweetener of choice. 8 resealable plastic bags or mason jars.
Instructions: Gluten-free rolled oats, protein powder, dried fruits, chopped nuts, chia seeds, ground cinnamon, and salt should all be mixed together in a large bowl. Make sure to mix the ingredients well so that they are spread out evenly. Pour the mixture into 8 mason jars or resealable plastic bags, making sure that each one has an equal amount about 1/2 cup. Mix in one tablespoon of brown sugar or any other sugar you like with each bag or jar. To keep the oatmeal fresh, make sure to remove any extra air from the bags or jars and seal them tightly. Write the cooking directions and suggested toppings on the outside of each bag or jar. Empty one bag or jar into a bowl that can go in the microwave to make a serving. Depending on how thick you want your oatmeal to be, add 3/4 to 1 cup of hot water. Cover, stir it well, and let it sit for two to three minutes so it can thicken. Take the lid off, stir it again, and heat it in the microwave for one to two more minutes, until it's hot. Take it out of the microwave carefully, let it cool a bit, and then enjoy your gluten-free instant oatmeal that you made yourself!
