a couple of months back, we announced an evan 'buck' buckley appreciation week running from june 22 to june 28. here are the prompts:

june 22: family dinner | cooking/baking | "try this and tell me what you think"

june 23: gym | competition | "hey, you need a spotter?"

june 24: emergency contact | hospital | "so, how is he?"

june 25: tattoos | lichtenberg figure | "hey, we all have things we do to cope—i get new tattoos"

june 26: knitting | outfit(s) | "you clean up nice"

june 27: thirty-five | birthmark | "actually, i go by buck"

june 28: free choice | bi buck

“Hey, taste this.” Buck turns towards Eddie, spoon full of steaming homemade tomato soup in hand. His other hand cups underneath to catch any drips. His cheeks are flushed warm from standing over the stove, eyes bright with joy.

Eddie grins. He leans in, dodges the spoon held towards him to capture Buck’s mouth in a kiss, hands coming up to tangle in the curls on the back of Buck’s neck.

Buck indulges in the slide of Eddie’s lips on his, nearly forgets the spoon he’s clutching until he tries to grasp Eddie’s waist in both hands and splatters soup on Eddie’s— Buck’s— shirt.

“Oh, shit. Sorry,” Buck says, reaching for a towel on the counter.

“Damn. My favorite shirt, too,” Eddie shakes his head, keeping his hands in Buck’s hair. He’s smiling.

“It’s my shirt. I should be the one who’s— you have to let go of me if I’m gonna clean that.”

Eddie’s hands tighten on the back of Buck’s neck. “Nuh-uh.”

“Eddie, it’s a white shirt, if I don’t clean it now, it’ll st—“ He’s cut off by Eddie’s mouth claiming his again.

“Five more minutes,” Eddie whispers into the kiss.

Buck melts back into it almost immediately, hands, now freed of spoons and soup, finally gripping Eddie around the waist, tugging him flush against Buck’s chest.

“I really need your opinion on the soup,” Buck says against Eddie’s lips, though he’s pressing closer, nipping at Eddie’s bottom lip, so he doesn’t seem too serious about stopping.

faq/rules

all types of fanworks are accepted, and there are no minimum or maximum requirements

there will be several daily prompts and you can choose between them or mix them up however you like; you can also post multiple times if you wish to do so

please tag everything properly (in terms of ratings, warnings, etc.)

if you want to, you can add your fics to the ao3 collection

late entries and crossposting with other events are allowed

ai creations, however, are not allowed

we will be monitoring the tag #buckweek2026 for any creations to reblog, but feel free to @ us too to make sure we don't miss anything

be kind to buck specifically; this is his week, after all (angst/whump is allowed, buck bashing is not)

don't be rude to each other or about other people's creations

one last thing — this event isn't run by the same person who ran buck week last year. you can still find those posts at @buckweek2025

first of all, we'd like to thank everyone who participated this year. it was a great week thanks to you, and it was a lot of fun to run. given tumblr's search system is a little unreliable, we're going to link a few things to help you find the works created for this event more easily.
