ouhh im gonna be honest i havent thought much about bubbleman so i feel like its gonna be pretty fun to actually sit down and figure out my thoughts on him(side note, i mostly follow a similar cannon to the archie comics just with some of my own thoughts/elements from other megaman media)
🔒- A secret they keep?
when bubbleman first got reprogrammed, for a while he thought he had a crush on roll, since she was super nice to him. he realized later that he didnt, and the only reason he thought that was because he wasnt used to someone being nice to him. sees her as a good friend now, but will absolutely take that secret to the grave
🩹- Battle scars or damage and the stories behind them
i actually think bubbleman has some burn scars, mostly ones he got on accident from heatman. he also has a couple deep scars on his legs, since he has bad on-land mobility and keeps falling, during the time they spent in the jungle he slipped on the rocks a lot and banged up his legs pretty bad.
⚡- Someone they detest
SNAKEMAN LMFAO. personally i think that snakeman always kinda came off as creepy to bubbleman, who is amphibious and kind of frog-like, and snakeman absolutely played into that and tormented him on purpose, probably in a malicious way at first but after being reintegrated into society it became more of a lovingly teasing way on snakemans end, but bubbleman still absolutely hates it. snakemans kinda dense though and doesnt realize that.
other than him, i think maybe at first bubbleman didnt like oilman because he misunderstood what oilman was designed to do. bubble only saw that he attacked by firing oil at people, and didnt realize he was actually designed to clean up oil spills. after they started working together though, he changed his mind and actually really enjoys hanging out with oilman, since hes so easygoing and chill
also, relating to the next part, i think he also detests wily for building him to be a combat robot
💭- Thoughts on their purpose for being made
i mean, obviously bubbleman was made for combat. i think he really leaned into that aggression early on, especially since he was kinda made fun of by his brothers, his creator, and even some of the lightbots(those guys stopped after a bit though since they realized he didnt like it). but i truly dont think he enjoys only existing to fight people, but didnt think there was another option. which is why he was so excited when roll told him he could get like. a real job. i think bubble actually eventually grew to hate wily for making him believe that his only use was to fight people, since it really messed with his self-perception
⚠️- How do they show anger?
again, related to the last one, bubbleman was really aggressive. kinda projecting here, but with a lot of the whole 'other robots poking fun at him all the time' thing, i think he was quick to go on the defense by being (mostly verbally) aggressive. very much always on edge around the others, and would oftentimes try to bite back at any mean comments, but none of them really landed, and usually just gave the others leverage to make fun of him more. after reintegrating into society, everyone kinda mellowed out, including bubble, but i think he took the longest to chill out. hes still really easily set off, but now instead of getting aggressive with the others immediately, hes better at calming himself down enough to actually talk with someone when he has a problem.
fun fact for this collage: eagle-eyed viewers will notice that this is arranged to match the megaman 2 stage select screen. unfortunately, there's no crashman.exe, so i had to substitute it with a different 'robot master type who uses timed explosives'
