I'm so proud of these seven incredible men😭. They've managed to surprise me yet again with their amazing discography like wow. I'm genuinely mind blown. The 'ON' MV was way Way better than what I had expected it to be. I've been their fan since around three years and they always manage to blow me away with their mvs Every. Single. Time.

There's something about them. About the way they light up on stage, eyes gleaming and smiles brighter then the stars on the darkest night. Something about the way emotion seeps through their voice and drips into the music, smothering anyone who listens. And something in how it effects those who understand. Sure, maybe they're a ragtag group of children at heart. Sure, maybe I don't speak their native language. But when did language ever stop music? When was language a problem for getting emotions across? I don't remember there being a time.

I was drawn in with one click, one smile, one lyric. I stayed because I found more than just that. The deeper I got, the deeper the lyrics got, until I was in over my head, crying over someone's experience that I didn't share, but I related to. I found solace in seven people thousands of miles away. In people who I've never even met. But that's always how fate works, huh? Those closest to me couldn't offer the support I received through two indirect words on a screen.

'Love yourself.'

What kind of concept was that? Foreign to me, at the time. Love myself. How was I supposed to do that? I had grown up learning to stay low and therefore avoid pride. Born in a society that told me to hate myself because of who I was. And here these people, these lovely people who never cease to inspire me- they want me to love myself? It didn't take me long to realize the beauty of those words. Of what they meant. Of how it felt to say them.

I struggled, yeah. Still do. There will never be a time where I won't struggle with something or another. But these seven over sized kids- they've taught me how to push through, to fight with everything I've got because although I will always struggle I will always have the chance to be happy. And isn't that something?

They struggled. They fought. They still do, just like all of us. They're human, yeah, and that's what makes it so beautiful. Humans telling humans to love themselves, to fight for their happiness, to reach out for their dream and snatch it out of the sky and make it happen.

And now, on my one year anniversary since discovering these lovely humans- since watching my first video- I thank them. For teaching me how to stand. For telling me how to love. And for showing me that even when we can't see them, the stars are always there. Thank you for reminding me I'm worth something. Thank you for giving me a smile when it's hardest to muster up.
