Dragon Striker - Episode 2 - Welcome to Kal Asterock Part 1
Now onto episode 2!
I love those gondolas. It's such a clever way to get around, especially with all the floating islands around. This world is not for people with a fear of heights.
Music is so beautiful.
They changed Key's ''This is awesome!'' to ''I can't believe it!'' I guess it's to show his wonder instead of saying that something is cool are awesome over and over.
I don't know what those birds?, flying animals are, but they're cool.
Some shots take awkwardly long, but it's not all bad. The show is just flexing its beautiful animation.
I didn't expect such a time jump, and that Ssyelle and Key hadn't seen each other for all that time. The chemistry and relationship between these two people who spend not even a whole day together is stronger than the long-term relationships portrayed in a lot of media. (Talking about you, High Guardian Spice!)
I know they use rainbows as a joke in anime to censor vomiting (not every show is Family Guy). It's clever that a character whose power is a rainbow suffers from motion sickness.
''Finally on my way to becoming the Dragon Striker.'' to ''W końcu mam szansę zostać smoczym napastnikiem.''/''I finally have a chance to become a dragon striker.'' Polish dub made Key more humble.
Key calls Ssyelle his friend in the English dub, but only his znajoma/acquaintance in the Polish one. Polish people need more than one day to be friends. It's a slow burn.
''I look forward to seeing you fulfill you potential'' to ''Wspaniale, że w końcu rozwiniesz swój talent.''/''It's great that you will finally develop your talent.'' The Polish dub makes Sugoi more interested in Key and what's best for him, instead of focusing on herself.
Key, do you have a type? Tall, muscular, white-haired, rugged, kind of angry. First Ragno, now Freki Sadarock, and later his sister! I plan on making a separate post about that.
''I love you, Freki!'' to ''Wymaitasz, Freki!''/''You swip, Freki!'' (As in you rock!) You could accuse translators of queer arasion, but it isn't in Polish culture to tell celebrities you love them to their face like in the USA. That would be weird and might seem obsessive. Which I guess Key is supposed to be, but the Polish dubs toned him down. Oftentimes, Polish dubs are more chill than the English ones.
Yet again, Key knows about Freki somehow. How? TV, radio, stories from other people?
The subplot of Ssyelle being lost is cute and funny. It's an excuse to show Kel Asterock and for her to meet other characters.
''Feasting Hall'' is just ''stołówka''/''cafeteria''. The Polish translator was really like ''Fuck your stupid fantasy names! We're already using tama and goyen! This is lemonade, and this is a cafeteria!''
I LOVE the look of this show! So much detail in those places!
I'm gonna be honest. I expected to hate Ameline. A shy character is fine with me, but one who doesn't want to talk even if it would solve all the problems is annoying to me. Fortunately, she's written it well, but this conversation will have to wait for later reviews.
Fun fact! Ameline and Skadi are voiced by the same VA which I find amusing.
When we're on the topic. Odward Stonegarden and Hilal Sarawi are voiced by the same guy.
Sugoi and Brunelca too! Now that's a range!
Music is so good and fun!
Now Key is doing a Po! I have to ask again. How did he not know who his mom was? He knows players that have been dead for hundreds of years and knows obscure fun facts, but didn't know about his mom who played like a generation ago. Was she erased from history? The show makes him stupid or an expert depending on what they need for the scene.
Key didn't use Mr. even in the Polish dubbing. I guess it's to show his careless personality.
Key and Surya are cute together in that scene! Too bad we know where it goes.
In English Surya says ''What'' but in Polish ''Who'' when referring to Edina. The English version is better because it shows that Surya sees Edina as a monster, not a person.
Both Key and Ssyelle call Kel Asterock a maze.
It makes sense that the Bards and the Roses want Ssyelle on their teams because their members saw her in action. Pregrina didn't see her but even if she did I doubt she would want someone to ''replace'' her.
Milo!
Why would you eat jelly of the floor?!
Flash Thompson! Ragno! Typically high school bully scene. I love it.
Blink and you'll miss it. Ragno's little blush when Brunelca asks for his autograph!
Rags!
Sugoi ships it really want's Ragno and Key to be friends just like Edina and her used to be. I don't know if it's gonna happen.
There's more between Sugoi and Ragno, more than just a student and a coach! Do we have a Tai Lung and Shifu situation here?
Using Tama in school is forbidden? Only training places and Gorotama field. I'll keep an eye on that.
Might as well ask the painting? Is it foreshadowing?
Interesting, Key said there can't be two dragon strikers (Accidentally putting that idea into Ragno's head.), but what broke the camel's back was the Key can ask his pal Sugoi for a private tour. Ragno is so jealous and has some mommy issues.
''You've gotta take me up there.'' to ''Chcę wjechać tam na górę.''/''I want to go up there.'' Making Key less demanding that Ragno does what he says.
Again, using Sugoi as a shield from Ragno.
Anime! Walking onto somebody (in that case multiple boys) naked.
Guy from Roses want's her on their team. Every seemingly random part of Ssyelle just wondering the school is important and setting something up.
They really want to make you think Odward was a bully and not Milo's brother.
''dumb'' jelly tama to ''miserable/poor'' tama. Something that makes more sense!
There's a swimming team. This school is not only about Gorotama.
It makes me wonder would Segoi be okay with Ragno taking Key to the the dragon eyrie? Dragon and Sugoi know each other very well, so if he said the first time that she wouldn't like that, he was most likely telling the truth.
Milo, Ssyelle and Key are very natural together.
The running gag of Ameline just coming and going is funny to me.
Ssyelle being the voice of reason.
Key using Sugoi as a
Blink and you'll miss it. Ragno's little blush when Brunelca asks for his autograph!
Rags!

It makes me wonder would Segoi be okay with Ragno taking Key to the the dragon eyrie? Dragon and Sugoi know each other very well, so if he said the first time that she wouldn't like that, he was most likely telling the truth.
But it also gives him the ability to tell a pretty convincing lie.
Milo, Ssyelle and Key are very natural together.
The running gag of Ameline just coming and going is funny to me.
Ssyelle being the voice of reason.
Key using Sugoi as a shield that will save him from Ragno.
''I hope he doesn't die.'' to ''Oby wrócił cały.''/''I hope he comes backs whole (as in safe).'' I'm kind of surprised. Usually, Polish dubs aren't afraid of using the word die. Maybe they don't want it to lose its punch.
Birds hatting Milo's jelly is funny.
The animation of them going up there. I like how long it takes. You now it's a long drop.
The MUSIC!
THE ANIMATION!
Blood, you know it's serious.
''He's a joke.'' to ''On to słąbiak''/''He's a week ling.'' Again, an insult that makes more sense and cuts deeper!
Key's tama!
So they didn't want to kill him at first.
The question is does Ragno believe Key can use his tama to save himself or does he hope he can't and will die?
Well, now they just said to the other kids that they left Key there to die. Even if they somehow get away with it by saying that Key stayed there out of his own free will and died by accident how will Sugoi feel? Ragno wants Sugoi's love approval, How does he think she's going to react when he (Key's nanny for the day.) let Key die, even by accident? He really didn't think that far.
Key has some pipes if Ssyelle and Milo can here him all the way from up there.
The ending song after something terrible has happen is unintentionally hilarious. It's not the last time something like that happens.
You may think I hate how Ragno's plan doesn't make any sense, but I think it makes sense in the moment. I love how dramatic and serious this show is. I'm tired of Cartoon Network/Disney, slice-of-life, comedies where nothing is taken seriously.
Dragon Striker - Episode 7 - The Sum of its Parts
Episode 7, let's go!
The sum of its parts to Suma jednostek/Sum of individuals Polish version is nicer. Calling people individuals instead of parts of something.
Milo hiding behind Key, so cute. Key protecting Milo.
Key shaming the ghosts is so funny. They even look sad for a moment.
Makes you wonder about afterlife in this show. Did they come out because Milo and Key disrespected their graves and will go back once they live? Is there Heaven or Hell? Why are they mindless beast who can't talk and don't have the personality they were alive? I'm not holding my breath we will ever get the answer. They're just scary ghosts.
Milo protecting Key!
I love the joke that Milo's jelly is so bad even ghost can't stand it.
I wonder if Milo's Tama really is just jelly. It scares ghosts and doesn't taste like jelly. It might me something else, more powerful.
Level up to podszkolić/improve. I like the Polish version better. Level up sounds way to video game related and out of place for a fantasy land.
That jelly is sturdy.
The bird's name is Osupa. Senga's Tama is a leaving thing and he named it or is there something else going on?
Shadow hands!
advantage to answers Polish one is better. It's more mysterious and it sounds like there can be more going to that place than just Gorotama matches.
Ssyelle knows Milo and Key's screams at this point.
Is Senga referring to the screaming people, ghosts or both?
Just like last time Ssyelle.
I like the premise of the conflict between Milo and Key. It's not contrived and doesn't last longer than needed.
Milo, don't quit!
Normally I hate when characters don't talk about something they totally should. However, letting somebody cool down is sometimes a better option, especially when there is no rush.
This show is so beautiful!
Is that an Attack on titan reference?
Key is weak compare to Ssyelle? It's a funny visual gag, but makes no sense. He's a farm boy and is super powerful. I headcanon that he's just joking around and is pretending.
Ameline you're so cute! That thing too!
Too bad Key isn't helping with fixing the roof. It would be a nice callback to him fixing his roof. However, it took him whole summer to fix his own roof, but here they doing all that in just a day. I think.
This show is so beautiful. So much in just one frame!
Odward! You're just chilling on the vine, aura farming like an anime character when everybody else works?! In character.
losers to mięczki/molluscs A common Polish insult for someone weak and cowardly.
friends to znajomi/acquaintances To show Odward doesn't really have deep friendships.
Odward, you made Key cry. Now you must die apologize.
get Milo back to udobruchać Milo/appease Milo
you to Pani/Mrs.
Nice pep talk. Now, can you do what you promised you would and train him?
Even Sugoi is shocked.
She let's go and the Dragon disappears. It means she must constantly touch somebody to use their Tama. She's not Monoma from MHA.
Yes, you can! All you did is give advice and pep talks, no actual training! Listen to what happen and give him advice!
Ssyelle convinced Milo to come back off screen, boo. It's not a huge deal. We knew he'd be back.
Crystal scoreboard, cool.
Odward all the way back. You think you're cool?
Milo is still mad.
put a pin in this to Możemy już o tym zapomnieć?/Can we forget about it already?
biggest to najważniejszy/most important
Milo, how can you stay mad at that face?
Senga is watching from up there? He's not down there with his team like Mara and Sugoi were for their teams?
Kai committed to the team's aesthetics. I know it's mandatory, but she did more than just the bare minimum.
cute to miłe/nice Again, Polish adjective makes more sense.
wisps to shadows That makes less sense? It's not like wisps are also called ghosts in Polish. They're called ''ogniki''. aka ''little fires''.
Here goes nothing, to No to do dzieła./Let's get to work. Less pessimistic.
These girls were straight up just trying to fight Odward. So it is allowed?
Odward being the best player so far of course. He's also the least tiered, he has the best stamina. He's been doing this for 4 years now.
most infamous to najpotężniejszą/the most powerful
Key tried to warn Milo because he knows what's her Tama does.
level up to wyrobiła/honed her skills
So it's not only for her Tama, but all? I though Milo was so scared that his Tama responded. Like in the catacombs.
Even at a time like that Key is being a fanboy. I love it.
Milo saved Key. He might be upset, but he wont let anybody hurt Key.
Odward being a pessimist.
THE ACTION!
I love Pregrina's faces.
Milo and Key, let's go!
Jelly Dragon! Gummiwaren! Whatever you call it!
No one has combined Tama's before? Even accidentally like Key and Milo?
Odward is nice!
Go, Knights! Why are you walking away? It's not even lame! It's a standard cheer!
Now! Where were you all the other times someone got crushed into the ground? Because it was within those lines? Sure, let's go with that logic.
Odward is better, but he's can't even stand. Key, the ball is yours.
No one cares about Pregrina crying. By being so bossy, she alienated everyone in the team except Gryfino, who is her loyal servant. These spontaneous possessions were not appreciated.
Milo! Thank you, for recognizing that without Key's idea, you wouldn't have learned a new skill.
Once again, the Polish translators got rid of the "level up" line.
Key, you're so cute.
Hug!
Odward being nice to Ssyelle!
Go Knight! Why guys? For a stupid joke? Everything was going so nicely!
Pregrina isn't a captain anymore? She's gonna be pissed. I wonder what the new captain will be like?
Go Knights! Now we got it. Rule of three.
Evil bird, is your eye in the opening?

Dragon Striker - Episode 4 - The Fifth Banner
Sorry I took so long. Episode 4, let's go!
Music!
Animation!
Sanga and his birds being established.
Ssyelle is on day 2 without any sleep and still being so helpful! Now that's a ride or die friend!
Ssyelle turned down the Bards and the Roses just so she can form a team with Key and Milo, and two random people. She's so selfless! It's nice when the show's heroes are actually good people and not some forced ''deconstruction''.
Not wanting to be with the Bards because Casper was a jerk to Milo, aww! She has such strong morals.
Milo and Key wouldn't be mad at her for joining! They're such good people and good friends!
But what's with never being a fan of the Roses? What about your little friendship/crush with Lilas? Is it just a coping mechanism/denial?
Also, because there is no ''The'' in the Polish language, it might sound like Sayelle didn't join the Roses because she doesn't like the flowers, roses.
By the way, Milo not getting in, I understand, but Key not getting in just because he didn't score despite having a powerful Tama and missing just an inch? Grading in this school sucks!
So they ask people that didn't pass in hopes they would jump on the opportunity, and later the people who joined already existing teams.
Sachama and Alvince Lumni friendship. It's always fascinating to watch other characters interact with each other.
Ameline is so cute! I need her to be hugged and carried by other characters!
Odward, you using your clones to talk to others and being intimidation is cool, but stop being so mean to your brother! What did he do to you? You better work on your relationship!
That's why English you is confusing. In Polish Odward said ''was'' as in Milo and his friends. I can't tell if in the English version he's talking about all of them or just Milo.
English ''doing'' vs Polish ''kombinujecie'' which is more like scheming or coming up with a crazy plan.
Frog-bug-thing?
''Dung'' was changed into ''błoto''/''mud''. Polish dubs also tend to tone down the toilet humor.
Key being a farm boy! Yay, representation!
Falco being a snob!
In the Polish dub, Key calls them "rose faces". It's usually used as a compliment when someone has a pretty pink face, but here he uses it as an insult. They're too pretty and afraid to get dirty.
Cartoon/Anime logic: Milo and Ameline can see anything in that rain with their glasses on.
Falco using the vine like he's a freaking gymnast!
Foul! Or is it? At least there is no Ref to get angry at.
Honey Cross to Słodkie Żądło/Sweet Sting
Tama gets weaker the more tired you are.
Clever save from Ssyelle!
Ameline saving the day!
Now Falco is afraid of her and her Tama. Much like his uncle is afraid of the dragon Tama, Key, and Key's mother.
These four are such good friends! And so kind!
Yes! Pet Ameline!
Somebody tell Milo what's going on!
When Odward joins the team, the rain stops, and the sky begins to glow gold. Symbolism!
Odward, you're such a tsundere!
Music!
Was Falco about to stab Odward with his sun spears?!
Why is Ssyelle specifically saying that to Falco?
Aww, he's about to cry.
Lilas's smirk at that.
Ssyelle is loyal!
The statue has a cut of head and the winning trophy is a helm. Hmmm?
Odward being that meme:
THE MUSIC!
THE ANIMATION!
Sugoi smilling at Ragno.
Sugoi's smile at them/Key!
Odward and Casper blushing. Odward is embarrassed. I'm sure Casper likes that new outfit!
This will not go unpunished, Lilas. to Jeszcze sobie o tym porozmawiamy, Lila./We'll talk about this later, Lila. In the Polish version, Mara is such a mom/grandma.
Mara is the oldest?
Ameline is so cute! Asking for help because she's too short and we know how well it went when Milo and Key tried to help.
Music!
Animation!
That scary dark blue!
Ssyelle fainting is great. She's tiered but we know something else is going to happen.
THAT FINAL SHOT!
Polish dub made a mistake Surya is talking with Senga's voice. All those names starting with S! Or maybe because he was standing in the shadows they couldn't recognize him? I headcanon Surya can mimic voices, specifically Senga's, to be scarier.
Errors: The hold of the Knights' banner can be seen in the beginning of the episode, despite being seen absent and hung up during the Banner Ceremony. When Milo is seen on the ladder, the Knights' hold is absent.
Dragon Striker - Episode 3 - Welcome to Kal Asterock Part 2
Episode 3, let's go!
THE ANIMATION!
THE MUSIC!
People in this show must be way tougher than the real ones. Just falling from that high should break his bones from the sheer speed. Then he hits some of those floating rocks! This should've ripped meat off his bones, if not his whole arm!
I'm not complaining. As long as it's not too outlandish. Everybody has a different threshold of suspension of disbelief. It's a cartoon, and what can kill you changes depending on the needs of the scene. For example, Key's TAMA is treated as the scariest thing in the world, but other, equally dangerous TAMAs aren't as feared.
Ssyelle jumping to save Key is so great! He jumped in to save her and she saves him. I think Key and Ssyelle would save anybody, but I like how those scenes mirror each other. Who says good characters are boring?
Them being in Ssyelle's bubble is so romantic.
Key blushing! Ssyelle blushing!
Milo falling on them is so funny.
Even in the face of death, Milo is polite and says sorry. I guess it might have been his last words, too.
Nice foreshadowing of Ssyelle's and Milo's tamas working together.
I'm impressed by how this show can go from intense action to hilarious jokes without being tone-shattering. Can those writers teach a thing or two to the Hollywood writers, responsible for the MCU, especially?
''I came here'' to ''Zapisałem się''/''I got enrolled here''
Establishing Milo's fear of ghosts. When the second half of Season 1 and 2 comes out, there will likely be even more moments that will make us think, "Oh, I see what you did. I should have seen that coming!"
It was a good thing there was a working gondola, otherwise they would have had to jump and slow their fall using the Ssyelle Dam, and then they would have had to return to Kal Asterock on foot or swim back there. I have a fanfic idea!
Hey Skadi! Take a good look at your future teammates.
She's in class. Even though it's the first day, a sort of organization day, with team sign-ups, room assignments, and unpacking, they're still expected to come to class. And classes last until nightfall? Dame!
Sugoi is not only a coach, but also a teacher. I wonder what's on the board. Tama theory? Math? Now I wonder what other coaches teach. Mara is a biology (Basic, I know.), Sanga gives me a history teacher, or English (whatever their language is called), and Surya can be an art, music, or theater teacher, but that's too on the nose for me. I would make Surya a physics and a math teacher. He needs to know how to make his shoots.
I like that we don't waste time at school beyond a few lines to let us know those kids are still getting a proper? education. We're here to watch Gorotama, drama, and mysteries.
8 years of training? Key is 12, that means Tama should manifest itself at around 4 years old. Our late bloomer.
Milo hiding behind Ssyelle makes sense. Her Tama can save them if need be.
Key has a dad, Ssyelle has a dad and Milo (and Odward) have a mom. Does any of those kids has 2 parents?
So that's what we get? A stern talking to? Ragno, why are you pouting? You got off easy! You're so lucky she's your mom.
Key being happy when Ragno is getting scolded by Sugoi, to Ragno being happy Sugoi is scolding Key, and is saying pretty much what Ragno is thinking.
I really want to see Sugoi and Ragno's story. It seems like she practically shaped his mentality.
So we all agree that Mara is Lilas grandma or some other relative? The pink hair (which I guess are natural), freckles and vine powers, come on! Unless she's a fan and models herself after Mara.
Key, Milo and Ssyelle are so sweet!
Ragno heard that Falco is fast because it is his family's specialty, and Falco is a 12-year-old who just came to school.
That one frame of all Goyens is great. What are they looking at? Sanga is laughing his ass of, Surya is disgusted, Mara is like ''You see this shit?'' and Sugoi is unimpressed, only a raised eyebrow.
Are they talking about the guy with long arms?
Good think they have a force field that doesn't let Tama out.
Casper and Odward!
Is Odward angry that he sees his brother? Didn't he see him this whole time? Didn't he put two and two together when Casper told him about a jelly Tama? Or is he angry that Milo got shoulder checked?
Odward broke up with Casper and left the Bards because he was mean to Milo? Casper didn't know Milo was Odward's brother, but I bet when he found out, he was like ''Oh my God! So that's what it was all about! Are you kidding me? How was I supposed to know? If I had known, I would never have done it…''
Yesterday? What happened yesterday? Is it going to be important later?
Odward is also fed up with Casper making fun of everyone, but I wonder if he would have reacted the same way if Casper hadn't made fun of his brother.
Odward is attracted to Casper. This means that Casper had either a recent change in his personality or has some good qualities that Odward likes which once outweigh his boorishness. Or Odward likes Casper because he's hot. However, I think it's too shallow. The writers can do better than that.
''Tama'd'' to ''Zmachałem''/''I waved'' as in ''I got tired''.
Surya's team, the Bards hasn't won in twenty years.
Sanga's laugh! This man loves the drama.
Skadi x Key!
She's going to be on their team, or at least important. I'll write a separate post about her and her brother later. Be patient.
You might think I'm contradicting myself by shipping Key with Skadi and Ssyelle. (Add Ragno too.) What can I say? Key has instant chemistry with everybody he meets.
Skadi and Key working together!
Key ve Ssyelle! So good! The drama!
I'm still not sure if Casper and Odward were officially a couple. ''He's my boyfriend.'' kind of deal. Or if they were in the awkward, more than friends and were about to become a couple. There is a big difference for me. I can write stories for both versions.
Ssyelle and Key still being friends!
What do you mean by if she lets you stay? Other children who didn't make it are still attending regular classes. The whole point of you coming to Kal Asterock is to learn how to control your Tama. You still need to do that even if you're on a team or not!
School is for teaching! Teachers are supposed to teach you! You don't just go there to show the skills you already have or teach yourself on your own. Meanwhile, the teachers only praise you or bash you. Is it a commentary on a schooling system?
Ssyelle stepping up and helping Key!
''What am I missing?'' to ''Co ja mam robić?''/''What am I supposed to do?''
It becomes a theme for this show and my post. When Ssyelle kick a rock i English she says ''Stupid!'', but in Polish ''That hurt!'' English writers, learn to use other phrases! Please! Don't throw: stupid, jerk, awesome, when you don't know what to say, and there are many options available to you!
See you next time!
Dragon Striker - Episode 1 - The Awakening
I will use a nit little trick. I will turn on the English subtitles, but with the Polish dub. That way, I can look for fun things like clever translations or possible mistakes. I'll also talk about the episodes in general as if I were watching them for the first time, because many scenes take on new meaning as we delve deeper into the series.
For example, the incident at the beginning. It's a bold strategy to start the series this way. It's a good way to keep people watching, curious about what led up to the events on screen.
''It's too powerful.'' was changed to Nie mamy tyle siły./We don't have enough power. or We're not powerful enough. You might think changes like that mean nothing, but whether or not the translator meant to or not, they changed how Sugoi and the audience see the situation. The English version focuses on how powerful the thing (the dragon) they're fighting is. The Polish version focuses on how defenseless and helpless the heroes are. When I first watched this episode, I thought they all died or at least the guy who was set on fire.
I have to give special shout out to the Polish voice actors for Surya and Sugoi. If I stopped to gush every time they say something and it sounds awesome, we would be here all day. Even if you don't know Polish, just listen to that opening scene, or that scene where Sugoi trains Key, or when Surya yells at Key.
Going back to the show, it looks like Edina jumped into the air to fight her dragon. It somehow ended up blowing up one of their moons. I came to that conclusion because of the editing.Unless it was already blown up way before the time that flashback took place.
You see those chunks of the moon on the ground?! They must have been part of the environment for way longer than 20 years!
When I first watched this series, I thought his name was Mei or Kai. I finally figured it out in the third episode.
Judging by what Key and Dino say in the first scene, it seems there are other schools and even professional players. That makes sense. It would be weird to train all these kids and have them just quit when they turn 18. I wonder if we will ever see the adult professional players who aren't coaches.
All Stars? I missed it. I thought the Dragons were playing against the Bards or the Roses before the teams shake up later.
I love that Key loves the Dragons, specifically Ragno, but when he meets them, he can't recognize them. I guess he only heard about them or saw them from far away.
Cool bikes. Looks like something from Hot Wheels Battle Force 5 or that one Star Wars Visions episode.
In the Polish dub they gave Tournefeuille a French accent, because you know, French cook trope. It's interesting because Ssyelle, his daughter, doesn't have one. It's even more funny because it's a French cartoon.
The voice actor is really good, or he actually forced himself to have a genuine coughing fit for that one scene.
There are some crystals in that machine. I wonder if they're going to be important. It's a nice world building. So many details.
Ssyelle tries to get Key to stop asking to show her tama by saying it's against the rules and unethical. Is it tho? Or did she say that to make him stop asking? I'm willing to bet she is because she was practicing moments ago.
Yet again, Polish dubbing being way more ''normal''. In the English one she says ''big, big, no-no.'' like a baby but in the Polish one she says Absolutnie się na to nie zgodzę/ I absolutely do not agree to this. Like a normal person her age.
Key, you little liar! Ragno, not long ago, used his tama to pick you up! I'm joking. That means that Key has never seen a Gorotama STAR in action. It means he might have seen it in other situations.
So we're doing the Avatar (Nick one) with mixed animals. I can see a bug but not much donkey. In the Polish dub, they specifically say beetles, not bugs.
Instead of calling Pregrina crazy Casper calls her zaborcza/possessive.
I talked about it my Hexed post, but I see Polish dubs are more polite than English ones and aren't afraid to use big words like zaborcza.
The English argument between Ragno and Key is so weak. Key calls Ragno a doofus? Which is just a basic insult. In the Polish dub he's being more specific. Nauczysz wszystkich jak być takim wrednym?/Will you teach everyone how to be this mean?(As he/Ragno is.) It cuts way deeper than just some random mean word!
Now, now Ragno. vs Spokojnie Ragno/Calm down, Ragno. I don't know ''now, now'' as in ''już, już'' feels like such a childish thing to say. Like a parent trying to make their child stop crying. Holding his hand! Sugoi is Ragno's mom!
I personally headcanon that Ragno has a crush on Sugoi. That's why when he makes that face when Sugoi touches his hand. ''Oh my God! She just touched my hand in front of everybody! Be cool! Be cool!''
Odward addresses Mara as "Mrs." Again, Polish politeness, a younger person, especially a child/teenager, would never address an older person in infromla you. Unless you want to show how badly mannered the character is. Or in Key's case, close and relaxed.
Odward also says that Ssyelle never played, meanwhile the English dub specify that she never played competitively. You know how it is with making the dialogue match what is on screen? Polish has (usually) longer words than English, so the translators took a shortcut.
Lemonages? So that's what they call it in the show. The Polish dub just called it lemonade earlier and now drink.
Something weird. In English Tournefeuille talks about handing out drinks to everybody, but in the Polish dub they say ''Who's going to give out drinks to the players?'' It's possible the translators got confused because of the line earlier about the drinks for the players. And other media probably suggested that Key would be a sort of water boy for the players, not for the entire stadium.
So in all stars Odward is the captain? Interesting.
They translated the name of the Tama attacks into Polish. Earth Quake is wstrząsy instead of more popular trzęsienie ziemi.
That's gotta hurt Dragons! to Naprawde tak nisko upadli?/Have they really fallen that low?
Oh, but it looks like it's hurting the All Stars keeper even more. to Oj, chociaż obrończyni gwiaz upadła jako pierwsza./Oh, it looks like the (goal) keeper of the stars fell first.
She makes us look stupid. to Przez nią wyglądamy na słabiaków./She makes us look weak. Again, a word hat makes more sense!
Key talks to the Ref in informal you in English, but uses Mr. in Polish.
THE ANIMATION!
The MUSIC!
Key's head band breaks. Was it somehow keeping his powers in check?
Dragon is red not blue.
Key says he was supposed to help Ssyelle's dad, but the Polish dub changed it just helping at the market place. They couldn't be bothered to remember his name just like me.
about Key to about your son.
Fetal to it will end badly.
I don't want him anywhere near that place to Nie chcę żeby się do was zbliżał./I don't want him to come near you.
