Drawing on Brunei legends, could a video game be developed around historical Brunei? @radleyfarrens explains in the survey:
Basically, this game would fall under a social simulator title about a young man entrusted by his aging father to build a village from the ground up during the reign of Awang Alak Betatar. One of the major aims is to give a relive the perspective of Ancient Brunei and the the related history and lifestyle of that era.

Kali vs Kali Ah
A very often used phrase that is NOT to be confused –
kali : maybe, that’s possible
kali ah : definitely
eg.
Your collegue doesn’t come to work. You wonder: “Sakit kali…” [Maybe he/she is sick.]
You see someone accidentally rams a door. You say: “Sakit kali ah…” [That’s got to hurt.]

Hashtag Brunei everything
The frustration of Brunei, as I mentioned in my post about The Brunei Times shutdown, is that our archives, online and offline, are relatively so incomplete and difficult to access compared to other countries.
I guess that drives me in my attempts to contribute to help to archive those things that are important to me or are of interest to me, even little things. Brunei Internet culture is one of them; also Bruneian creations, Brunei perspectives, that are unusual or different from the norm.
There’ll always be loads of photos of the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien mosque. If a famous foreign photographer posts such a photo, it gets reposted a hundred times on Tumblr and Pinterest by people who will never come to this country. I’m interested when someone takes a beautiful photo of a mosque in Kg Pandan and no one outside of Flickr sees it.

I am pretty amused by the drawings - which are helpful! - but also by the inclusion of supernatural beings. And Superman.

...And on the first day of Raya, achieved Bingo by the 3rd out of 4th house of the day. It was funny how people immediately assumed there are 'rules' - you get a bunch of people discussing whether the Soya Bean cans need to be visible to count, or whether it was okay if a television had Astro on instead of RTB.

It just seemed too easy to get Bingo, so on the second day of Raya, I marked out a separate Bingo grid for each house I went to. Thus the above marked grids - no Bingo was achieved.

Most surprising: The lack of Kueh Tapak Kuda (2nd row, 2nd from right). My relatives seem to be hoarding theirs instead of serving them - so is my family, tbh.
Most contested: The glass (bottom row, 2nd from left). All of the houses served drinks, so the square with the drinking glass should be easily marked off, right? But we argued over whether plastic glasses counted, or even whether only a certain type of crystal glass was valid.
No one does table lamps. (Top row, far left) Does the lamp have to look like this? Can't it be one in a modern style? Or a tall standing lamp? In the end, we didn't tick off any lamps.
And of course, people then start to make suggestions on more 'typical' Hari Raya items to be included. I didn't note down these suggestions. Go make your own, guys.
