“Their stage shows a mannequin factory where a human is mixed in with dead mannequins. The living human is deemed as defective so the machine beeps. So to prove they're alive they start to 'Move' in the introduction and the members break out of the factory to gain freedom at the end. The netizen also explained that the rain at the end seems to pay homage to the film 'Shawshanks' when the protagonist escapes and gains freedom. When he goes outside, it starts to rain, and the protagonist sits in the rain as a free man.”
^ this was taken out of an all kpop article i read where they translated k netz reaction to sf9’s move stage. and i thought it was a really interesting interpretation. i d k about the whole shawshanks ending but it helped me understand the stage a bit better (at least in the context of humans being in a mannequin factory and they prove that they’re alive with dance). the opening was really nice! i liked it a lot and wish they done more with it (i think u mentioned it in ur review), instead of the dance break later in the song. was i the only one that thought it was kind of misplaced? it didn’t match to the rest of the performance for me.
sorry, SHAWSHANK?!? that discount gap store backdrop was supposed to be like the escape scene in THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION?!?!
