can you imagine what it must be like to be mark s. you JUST experienced life outside of lumon for the first time and you met your outie’s friends and family and also your favorite author and you learned your boss is spying on you and you just realized your colleague is your supposedly dead wife and you’re also overwhelmed because that is more people than you’ve EVER seen in your life and suddenly you’re in hell again and everyone you know and trust is gone and you’re frantic to find the only people you do know and you’re terrified you won’t see them again and then you find they’ve been replaced by three strangers. like what the fuck.

It is kinda craaaaazzyzyyyy that the boys have been trained from childhood to be so strong, flexible, reactive, smart, powerful that they consider other humans not really a threat. Because they have to somehow match up to SUPERNATURALLY STRONG AND RUTHLESS MONSTERS. They HAD to be this good to tilt the odds even SLIGHTLY in their favor, but of course they could never actually be strong enough to be safe from these things. They could never really match up... They're just human.
