Nobody talk to me about Icarus and Talus

We’re talking about the Icarus myth in one of my classes and watching clips of various adaptations and films.

What do you mean in this version Daedalus had a sister who had a child, Talus, that Daedalus watched over, who was smart and better than Icarus at a lot of things, who was the son that Daedalus wanted Icarus to be,

And in some versions Daedalus kills Talus, and in some of those the gods save him and Talus is turned into a bird,

They didn’t learn it from Isla, even when they were living with just her and Rae he never really spent much time with her, never sat by her while she taught herself new skills, but Rae did

In early season 3, before everything went down, when the broters were still happy, Rae taught Icarus how to embroider, because they wanted to embroider Skittles onto their pocket. While doing this Rae embroidered an orchid onto one of their sleeves

Icarus later added two daisy’s (one for Centross and one for Haley) and an allium onto their sleeve, another reminder of their family, similar to the pins they already wear

As Icarus got more birbs they’d add them onto the pocket that they had embroidered Skittles onto

Despite their hands shaking in late season three from a combination of stress and corruption remnants it became one of the things they’d do to comfort himself, one of the things that would keep them busy on nights where Fable wasn’t ‘home’ and they didn’t have the energy to brew potions
