Finally back at the gym after a week off with the big sick. Oh how I have missed it. Even though it was super hot, crowded with new year resolution people, and I had to run on a random treadmill instead of my favorite one, I still managed to squeak out 4 miles without hacking up a lung. So I get up early today to go to the gym at 6am. I slide out my front door, sand the walkway, scrape the ice off my car, drive to the gym and it’s closed. Of course it is..due to the ice it isn’t opening until 9am. No problem, I will just go later today. No better way to start the weekend by doing my first 5k in support of the #ColonCancerCoalition @mix941 I’ve volunteered at many runs like these but never actually participated in one. We all know someone who has been affected by cancer so do what you can by getting involved, not just making a post on social media 🐝 #Active . Naturally, I came prepared with my very first pair of @brooksrunning shoes in 16 years along with a splash of my @lactigo gel so my endurance is on point & I don’t cramp up.
