also along with them not really addressing Broderick’s complexity along w/ Galloper’s I also don’t think I like how they characterized Linda in these quests. isn’t one core aspect of her character is her trying to understand someone’s actions even if they’re bad? I may be remembering wrong but wasn’t she the one who dragged ghost Jon Jarl’s ass that one time about all the colonization he did?? wdym “Even after all that you don’t feel any remorse, Broderick??”
if anything I think her striving to understand both Galloper AND Broderick would’ve been a good way to highlight this aspect of her character. Sigh
very suddenly remembering this messy colored scribble of an AU brody! it's honestly so funny how cute and approachable he looks when he's actually just as fucked up as the rest of his crew.
16 (a tender hug, just staying together for a while) + extended quad of choice...
16. a tender hug, just staying together for a while
at the end of the evening, exhausted and cried out in the best way possible, 10 catches echo's sleeve in a darkened corner of the kitchen. he smiles sheepishly at them when they jump, laughs quietly at it. not 10, then.
"sorry, sorry." broderick says, tugging more insistently on their sleeve until echo, confused but warm and plaint and tired with the reunion, goes with it. he tucks his head into their fringe, arms tight around their shoulders. it clicks and echo hugs him back tighter.
"missed you too big guy." it's strange, hugging him like this because whilst the body is 10's, technically, the feeling of it is all broderick. if echo wasn't already so tired they might have teared up again. as it is, they just keep rubbing broderick back with one hand, the other looped up and around his shoulder.
echo isn't sure how long they stay there but it must have been a while, they realise, when declan comes wandering through the doorway to find them.

You've been visited by the random OC question fairy! :D ~☆
What do the people in your character's life think of them and why? Is your character concerned with how other people view them?
wOah wasn't expecting this uhhh-
Uhhh, I don't really know how to answer this one honestly-
I'll do the characters that most apply to it-
Dillan: Most of his family think of him as a socially awkward child, cause he is, but specially his father also sees him as a sensitive and curious boy who sometimes just needs a push in the right direction. Dillan himself does concern himself with how people think of him, but specifically more around newer people than the people he's known for a long time.
Kevin: His father saw him as a bright and hard working boy, and so did his mother. His siblings saw him as a troublesome brother you always wanted on your side in an argument. However, his step-mom didn't think he was serious about school and tried forcing him to get better. A lot of kids at his school also thought he was stupid because he couldn't grasp certain concepts like spelling and reading as well as the rest of the class. At first, it made him really upset, to the point where he ran away, but now he doesn't care what you or anyone else thinks of him.
Increase: His father, or Willam, thinks of him as hard working and kind, as do most of the other people who know him. Increase himself does question what people think of him a lot, mainly cause he's scared of being s u s.
Janet: Janet's mother and father mostly saw her as a rebellious girl who was leading herself down a bad path and thought she needed a lot guidance from them. However, this only really caused conflict between them, as Janet felt it started pushing into her privacy. Janet never cared what her parents thought and she more looked from approval from her friends. Though more recently, she's been working herself too hard to dwell on what people think of her.
Second: Second's mother and oldest sister thought of him as their little baby they needed to shelter, while his father and older brother were on different sides of the spectrum. They, more commonly his father, believed that he wasn't trying his hardest and that he could do better if he was pushed hard enough. This actually led to a lot of self doubt and self confidence issues for Second, and eventually spiralled into childhood Depression at an early(ish) age. Even though his father backed off after the diagnosis, he still struggled with how other people viewed him and still does to this day, though it's mainly with just a handful of people now.
Broderick: Harrison, his father, and him never really got along. He saw him as a boy who was looking for trouble and always found it. They've patched their relationship a bit as he's grown older, but it's still rough. His mother loved him and did her best to understand his behavior. She would always defend him and even get mad at her husband for snapping at him. His brother Cohen always looked up to him and thinks of him as a really cool older brother, even now that they're both adults. He definitely concerns himself about what others think about it, even more than ever before. It's started taking a toll on him as time goes on.
Thanks for the ask Dear Fairy!
