I really want to do a watercolor piece with Merm Boostle but I first wanted to make sure I'm actually up for it. So I did a Booster merm design - gorgeous fishy merm with lots of gold and blue (can't decide on the ears...leaning towards pointy/fishy) and Skeets as his flounder side kick XD

And Ted is mainly human in these but inherited Dan Garret's selkie mantle. 👀 He's not good with his selkie merm form so he mainly sticks to normal equipment based diving - where he meets Booster one day

Gonna order it in another size to comfortably wear it for my next chemo session.

I'm still not plagued by nausea, but my head is very empty lol

My bones are aching a bit from the shot to push my leukocyte production but otherwise I'm kinda ok. A bit tired combined with a constant alertness to look out for any changes (itchiness, rise in temperature, other stuff...)

And I don't like the "I don't know" state my brain insists to be stuck in. Very annoying. Hope it will clear soon.

After it I was mainly very drowsy. Very similar if you pull an allnighter for a cosplay? X,D

Very sluggish reactions, tired, but more in your brain...? I got a slight headache by now, but again, very similar to the headache you get from not sleeping all night lol

So...I'm not happy about how I feel and the prospect of feeling like that often but it's still kinda familiar?

Never thought that the experience of cosplay/art projects allnighters would help me dealing with chemotherapy side effects lol

So far I'm not nauseous, which I'm very grateful for. Hope it will hold up like that for the next days 🙏🤞

Also things I'm grateful for:

✨️ Managed to participate in the German Sign Language course despite feeling very tired right after the nap. (We did the alphabet and Sign names. I chose the German Sign for "cookie" and Claud chose "cloud" because the german pronunciation of her nickname sounds like "Cloud")

✨️ Made another YT video diary thing (pushed that task since last monday X,D)

Lungs and heart are save because of the injections. I had another CT scan and with these results my oncologist will decide if I'll keep the injections or can swap to pills until the tumour surgery. ></

Bad news...I learned that I have to reduce my anti depressants tremendously because it clashes with the chemo meds. X,x just sth I'm...not looking forward to.

What I do look forward to? Taking a much needed nap after the trip to the ER lasting like forever (we got out at 4 a.m.), the fact we had to wake up at 08:10 again to get to our usual doc, then an appointment at my oncologist, which led -because of the thrombosis- to more appointments at radiologist no 1 and radiologist no 2 (no 1 didn't have their CT scan ready. X,D).

We arrived around 15:35 back home.

Remember how I said my port surgery went well and I'm healing up?

Guess who had to go to the ER yesterday night to check for thrombosis?

And guess who got thrombosis in the left arm? Caused by the port surgery?

Chemotherapy hasn't even started yet and I'm already so done...

Also Me: lowkey forgets I had a surgery today

Had my oncologist appointment and my chemotherapy starts next Monday. Tomorrow I get the port - very early...have to be at the clinic at 06:45 am x,D - and I have another info appointment with an "onco coach" on Friday (it's a specialised nurse who'll give me extra infos for the chemotherapy and will answer all left over questions ♡)

On Tuesday I have the port surgery and if everything goes well I won't need to spend a night in the hospital but can go home later that day.

The port surgery kinda feels like the first step into actually feeling bad for a long time X,D (besides the mental health drop I still feel fine...yup, that will change very soon :,) )

Such a weird inbetween feeling...like...Ok, now I can accept the well wishes? When I'm finally hurting? The 'I don't want to feel that way' but also the 'I want to start this fight.' (Like...it would go over faster lol)...

Yeah just strange.

But on a happier note: Tomorrow also starts the online German Sign Language course we booked way before all this.

Today I was told I'm definitely completely metastases free. The cancer hasn't spread yet.

I'm so relieved and just had to draw a celebratory Booster blob.

I always wanted to do the "draw your fav having the same problem as you" and originally planned on Booster with hairloss...

Now it's Ted with cancer.

This is kinda self indulgence mixed with a heavy portion of coping mechanism.

I mean...why are some ppl so tone deaf?

Like...great you had a surgeon that even discovered cancer and was able to save you from further treatment like that but the fuck?

Getting a mastectomy is hard enough, especially if you only got a handful of surgeons in a country who do it?

Also...greeeat comment to someone who obviously didn't get that sort of top surgery and is now facing cancer treatment?

Really wanted to post it here too and I'm usually not doing this but if you know someone who got a mastectomy - no matter if a trans man, a non-binary pal or whatever - please share.

I'm a trans masc presenting nb too and yes, I got a mastectomy, October 2020 to be precise. I still developed breast cancer in the leftover tissue.

So.

Please please please don't skip your cancer screenings dear siblings.

Mine was caught still kinda early and I would have never guessed it could be possible but sadly it is and I just want to spread the word.

For a little extra information - because my gynecologist once asked me, if I had a higher risk for breast cancer because of testosterone -

My cancer is not the kind that responds to the anti-hormone treatment so it's highly unlikely it was caused by T or me pausing T for a year (was a busy year X,D) and getting back on it.

So this is absolutely not about telling you to be careful with T, it's about checking everything is ok, even when the boobtatas are gone 🫶
