Hey I Donno who saw it or not but I was on the 12oclock news today! Thank you to @gabe_spiegel l for helping me in my battle to spread awareness about this disease. Interesting fact, there are more people with OI in Ohio and especially the greater cleveland area than anywhere else in the USA I think, which is why it is so important to get the word out and also why I’m so appreciative to mr Spiegel and the @fox8newscleveland for giving OI and my story a little bit of recognition today. awareness, is not just so people “know” about us, but it is so people are educated. I am so thankful I have my parents to help protect me, but that isn’t always the case there are many people out there who are on their own and who have no one to protect them but themselves which is also why this is important, this isn’t just a day to talk about a disease, this is a day to help support one another and protect one another and honestly change lives, because you made that post today or talked about OI in a public forum your educating a Dr or a nurse, or a lab technician or any one else who works in healthcare. To me educating people is what makes the difference and is what changes lives.
