So, u know how immortal lived for fuck knows how long (at least 2000 years) n lived through so much n remained human all through that without making a family n admitted of not thinking he's allowed bc of his curse? Brit is immortal if he made a family, still ridden with guilt but matured enough to know its not a bad idea. Difference obviously is that brit is aging n at some point he will die bc of that, n yet this guy is like hundred something n fought in 1ww. He doesnt think he was cursed, he doesnt his his invincibility as curse (probably bc he lived shorter than immortal himself) n he acts like it. He does what he has to for the government n believes that everyone needs to live ie why he agrees to let go of his retirement over n over again (both btw). Obvi they have priority that is theyre worried for people closest to thenselves (immediat family), but where immortal is convinced his family needs his protection, brit is used to falling back to his inner circle for help n has no problem letting go. He knows he surrounded himself with people who can handle almost everything (obvious: Dea n Donald - both close to invincible n pretty powerful). Immortal physically cant see that others can handle crises bc all his life he surrounded himself with normal people (before heroing, which is again, close to 2000 years. He didnt show his curse until heroing started somewhere in 17-20 eras). Both of them have innate want for justice n best world, both dont have problem killing people for it. Both humans in the barest forms bc age strips away these upholds about being only things deserving life (they experienced death of ego enough times to stop counting) (viltrumites cant say that).

Theres something about them seeing his family die over n over again n going insane (specifically talking about parallel dimensions here: both outlived their families n both have probelms letting go after getting attached; both beign emperors is also funny parallel). Both trust Cecil with their lives n ready to follow his lead even though both r pretty great leaders when left alone, know when to shut up to people who know better than them. Brit leaving with Rex/Robot was heartbreaking now i know him as a character. N again, foils Immortals own refusal to change sides!! Theyre foils of each others BECAUSE theyre so similar. The Front line vs The Final line in saving humanity

Both care for humanity, both want best for his close circle, both vaguely know they can become a threat if shit hits the fan (im sorry but being invincible means nothing can hurt YOU, not PEOPLE around you.). One of them knows he gonna outlive everyone another feels that eventually he gonna fail people around him either by getting too old for active service or just genuinely getting broken emotionally. Both the most human superhumans in the comics
