If northern artists specialised in landscape painting, they did not usually come to Rome experienced in fresco painting. Thus some of the most influential landscape frescoes of the sixteenth century were produced not by Flemish, but by Italian artists, such as Polidoro da Caravaggio and Girolamo Muziano. But from the 1570s onwards Matthijs Bril and shortly afterwards his brother Paul established almost a monopoly on this kind of decoration, becoming immensely successful.

When the Mac Miller album was first announced last year, I was excited but a little concerned. I thought it was going to be a typical posthumous album where it was unfinished songs masquerade by features with current artists for a quick cash grab. But silly of me to have the slightest of doubt in Mac's estate. Especially when they've handled everything perfectly since his passing.

I didn't know Balloonerism already existed and the fans were talking about the album for years. I didn't know some of the songs on there were floating around on the internet for years too. And I definitely didn't know Mac had plans on releasing this album, even though it was made in 2014 during his Faces era.
