i’ve been wanting to write this for a while now but i’m really bad at articulating my thoughts into words so bear with me here…
in my mind i feel like physical touch and affection (affection like hugs or whatever) from tod is really important to alex
in the premonition plane crash there’s a scene where tod gets hit in the head with a boombox, and alex, with no hesitation, immediately gets up and pulls him back up
the plane then explodes right after alex props tod’s unconscious body up leaned against his shoulder. so i feel it’s safe to assume that in his premonition death, alex spent his last moments trying to keep his friend as close to him as possible
after they get kicked off the plane, alex actively hugs onto and huddles close tod. probably partially to shield himself from carter, but i also believe he does this because physical comfort from tod is able to ground him….
i’m kind of over-analyzing, and i have a lot more thoughts and headcanons to share, but i’m rlly tired rn and genuinely really bad at writing long paragraphs explaining my thoughts, so maybe next time….
