Meet Brekka, a washed up actor looking for a way to feel whole after finding herself at the bottom of the world's pool...what?
There's a lot to her story, so this is gonna be a bit long.....
She was once the #1 actress in STAR WORLD, with the miraculous ability to swap between hundreds of characters with just a wardrobe change. While fans adored her for her wide range and versatility on screen, something that gnawed on the back of Brekka's mind is she didn't really know who she was outside of her career.
One day she decided to be a bit more bold and improvise during one of her live performances. Unfortunately, that show swiftly bombed and caused a massive financial hit to the studio. Tenna, enraged, fired Brekka so she'd take all the criticism and he removed all mention of her acting legacy with aid of the Walnut Gallery. Brekka was left destitute, finding scraps in the dumps of the flavor factory for food. Even after all this time, that hollow feeling never left.
That was...until she met a mysterious person who whispering a secret to to be fulfilled in her role...
She started kidnapping darkners, believing the man's words that if she can find that SPECIAL someone, she can feel whole. She can find who she really is...
Eventually when Kris opens the dark fountain, she sees in their eyes the key to her all her worries, her struggles, her longing for another friend, companion, partner...
Brekka becomes obsessed with Kris, wanting to become their one and ONLY friend, to guide them through this cruel world, and persevere through all the hardships of their caged reality. She finds Kris alone in the dumps and offers to help their "eternal mission" as their "bestest friend in all worlds". She also subtlety takes jabs at all of Kris's other friends for not "understanding them like SHE can", that "We're both lower than everyone else, but together, we can reach the to the stars and make our own little world".
Weird talk aside, you decide to follow her plan. This leads to Kris going to an abandoned studio so far underground, reality gets really weird, as if you're dancing above the void.
After walking through many distorted recreations of Kris's past, moving pieces around to match Kris's "ideal world", Brekka arrives and reveals her plan.
She reveals she can rebuild the world above them from down here to match their "perfect dreams", but at the cost of erasing the world...and all who reside in it. Kris tries to object, but Brekka is really pushy about making a world "Only for US! not for those useless souls that left US to drown in the dark!"
Kris is being pushed closer and closer to the ledge when Susie and Ralsei arrive and catch Kris before them fall. Brekka charges forward in a blind rage, but plummets down into the void.
Before the Fun Gang can celebrate, the floor breaks and everyone crashes into a beachside set. Brekka emerges from the water wearing a long, flowy dress with amalgamated faces of her; Her hair is frazzled out to make 2 distinct devil horns. A devilish maiden with a dress of the damned, her damnation.
Brekka decides "those FAKERS" and trying to drag Kris "back into the dark" and attacks them to "save" Kris.
After the fight, Ralsei tries to convince Brekka that "with friends, you don't have to feel alone", but Brekka refuses this peace offering and unleashes a massive torrent on the Fun Gang.
In pacifist, this act is a way to help the Fun Gang escape the studio. In no mercy, this is one final attempt to destroy the Fun Gang.
Either way, she disappears with the studio and leaves an item and the shadow crystal behind in the water the Fun Gang wash out of.
The implications is that she couldn't fit into the world so she chose to.....leave it. Seems pretty morbid enough for a secret boss.
