When you think about it, it’s kind of interesting that both Lungbarrow brothers (the Doctor & Braxiatel) have some kind of romantic relationship or feelings for Romana in some type of canon:

Honestly? It never feels like Brax and Romana are ever actually talking in an official capacity, even when they are. It feels sorta like that tutor/pupil relationship, sorta like friendship, sorta idk what else, but it’s way more familiar than Cardinal and Madame President.

When Brax overrides Romana’s order to lower the transduction barriers, he carefully explains why it was a bad idea. Multiple times throughout the story, Romana asks his opinion/thoughts on what’s happening. Even “Et tu, Braxiatel?” when you think about it, implies that she trusts Brax quite a lot. And then there’s Brax’s happy “Madame President!!!” at the end.

Idk where this is going but I just have Thoughts and this is a super interesting nuance that the writers planted here at the very beginning
